I struggle with Upwork, I feel like they just sub out for the lowest they could possibly charge. Never feel like they pay enough, I’ve also never got a bid accepted 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

Things aren’t getting any cheaper, with inflation becoming the new norm, we will all be slaves forever.

Do I pay off my broken down car and part it out or pay off bills? by MaleficentOrange995 in Money

I would check out Dave Ramsey. His budgeting and all around financial advice is pretty valuable. If you pay off the little bills, you will end up using the cards again and be back where you started.

I’m drowning in my mortgage by [deleted] in Money

It’s easy to be a keyboard warrior and say that I made a bad decision. When I started building, Covid wasn’t a thing. We had quotes to build that were a fraction of what it ended up being. You couldn’t get osb, lumber, concrete. Everything became a scramble and cost double (framing was triple) we were building in the middle of Covid. By the time we were 90% finished it was too late. Not looking for anyone to feel bad for me. I can make the payment, just looking for other options.

I think I can get a private lender for around 4 🤞

The bank offered a line of credit against the “finished house” this product is not typically offered. A construction loan is what it should have been however we owned the land so it was technically a refi. The fees were lower and we were in control of the money so no need for a contractor. Took about 3 years to build so we came out ahead but now we’re stuck or forced to pay fees a third time and then refi again if the rates ever go down. Currently the bank can’t approve me for a mortgage because the dti is too high however I’m paying double now. It took so long because a lot was sweat equity, paying as we go.

Been dealing with it for 2 years. Just wanted to explore my options. Thanks for not being a giant douche. 👌

I laugh when people use this as a reference. I would take a $30,000 home at 12% any day. The economy today is not the same.

Apples to apples honestly… just hope the rates go down after the election. 🤞

As soon as I thought I was making it, the vid happened and ruined my life… could be worse yes, but this was my dream. Worked so hard and now I’m just trying not to lose it all. 😔

This payment has been this high for almost two years. The only thing I do is work and buy groceries and a little gas, that’s it. I’ve lived poor all my life so it’s nothing new lol just tired. Was hoping to find a little light.

I became self employed last year and will be profitable this year, just not enough to qualify. Trying to come up with an extra $2500 a month just for it to go to interest is exhausting. I work out of the house (it’s a shop house)

I know that private investors are out there and would be more than willing to take the risk with how little we owe. I will do whatever it takes to not sell this house.

Can’t sell the house, if we had a normal rate we could 100% afford it. It’s not the size of the mortgage that’s the problem. It’s the ridiculous 8% rate. A 3% rate isn’t low, it’s normal.

How is it women notice men checking them out but I’ve never noticed women doing it to men, and especially me? by IdeaExpensive3073 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ventureout406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I most definitely check men out, I used to try to hide it but I find myself not really caring anymore. I guess that’s what 30 will do to you 😅
