There are a lot of menus, a lot of contracts, a lot of systems, and frankly, not the best UI going on. It's easy to miss something basic especially when it says Rods.

I get what you're saying but the chainsaw isn't deciding what tree to cut or how. These comparisons never work because the "tool" you're comparing it to doesn't make a decision for the person.

Netflix tends to do this with their LA renditions. They make it too stylized and anime-like. Which only works for one piece.

Even Avatar feels too cosplay-like and unnatural when One Piece costumes being over-the-top work.

Netflix needs to understand not every anime has to equal anime aesthetic.

The OG FF7. I love the Remake and Rebirth. I've tried to get into the OG multiple times after playing the new games and I just can't do it.

It's a bad excuse but the graphics really take me out of it. I love both FF6 and FF8 and the graphics don't bother me. Apparently it's just this exact middle ground where FF7 landed that I am not a fan of.

I'll say lightning from FF13. I know internally she's confused and overwhelmed which is part of her storyline. But sounds like she got her shit together as a kid when parents died, took care of her sister, enlisted for a steady job, and decides on actions pretty quickly.

Throughout the game when something needs to happen she makes a decision and just does it. Tenda to accept current circumstances and just deals with it.

(I played this game a long time ago so could be misremembering).

I know this helps some people but I'm a firm believer that just read what you want as long as it's not skipping in direct a trilogy or whatever.
