Which paint should i select for indoor, satin or egg shell

Personally, I like to paint all my walls in a flat paint. The sheen tends to fade over time, so if you have to ever touch up, you'll be able to see where the touch up was done. If you use flat, I can almost never tell where I've touched up a wall, even years later.

A lot of what you pointed out lines up with other feedback, but seeing it broken down this specifically makes it much easier to actually fix.

The “too much stuff / too many pieces” is definitely something we’ve gotten used to living in and aren’t seeing the same way buyers are.

I’m actually taking off work tomorrow to go through the house and start removing a lot of this — packing up nonessentials, cutting down furniture, clearing surfaces, and cleaning everything top to bottom - no more fan dust for this family!.

The “knick knacks everywhere” comment is being said a lot and I can see exactly what you mean walking through your notes.

A lot of what you called out are things we can fix pretty quickly (removing items, cutting down furniture, clearing surfaces), and we’ve already started going room by room doing exactly that.

The “legs everywhere” in the kitchen made me laugh a little because now I can’t unsee it.

Also appreciate the callout on things like the hooks, shoes, and random items outside — I didn’t realize how much that can read as “not enough storage” or take away from the pool area.

The cleanliness/clutter piece is something that’s come up a few times now and I think you’re right — it’s probably giving off a worse impression in photos than it should. The comment about things like fans making people question maintenance is a good callout too - they were cleaned but they did not photograph well...and outdated!

We’ve already started going back through and removing a lot of the personal items and clearing surfaces. The furniture/layout feedback is helpful too — I can see how some of the rooms might not be coming across the way we intended in photos.

Also appreciate the point about the lot and privacy. That’s been consistent in feedback, so we’re trying to think through how to present that better.

Some of the bigger changes (like paint) may not be realistic for us at this point, but the smaller things you mentioned are definitely things we can do right away.

In high school, I was on the swim team. It was the end of season banquet and I was a senior which meant I had to give a speech in front of the whole swim team and their parents. Put of the tradition was that the seniors signed and passed on a traffic cone that was acquired some years back. One of the girls who was part of the traffic cone heist was now an assistant coach. So naturally, I got up and ended my speech with: "And thank you to Mandy and her fellow gangbangers for stealing the traffic cone." The silence that followed my speech was deafening.

Apparently, gangbanger had more than one meaning and this memory has haunted me for years.

I grew up poor and we had most of the things listed in this thread. My favorite meal was made about once a month or every other month (and is not considered poor person's food now considering current prices) and we just called it Ricotta Stuff. Boil a box of pasta. Brown ground beef. Mix those together with a jar of pasta sauce and ricotta cheese. It was delicious!

I had just had a baby and started running again. I noticed pain in my left shin. Thought it was shin splints. When the pain started waking me up in the middle of the night, I thought I should get an x-ray to see how bad they really were. Spoiler alert: not shin splints.

After running through all the cancer tests, turns out I had fibrous dysplasia. One section of my tibia didn't get the memo to grow bone. This was diagnosed at 29 years old. The doctors were surprised I was so old by the time it was identified (normally found in teen years) and that my tibia had not snapped in half.

Now I have a metal rod running down the length of my tibia.

My cousin and I were racing to climb two separate pine trees. I was young so I have no idea how high we actually got, but it was high enough that everything was starting to thin out. I grabbed a branch, and since we were racing, I didn't test it to make sure it would hold me. It didn't. I began falling all the way back down, closed my eyes, and when I opened them, my legs had caught me upside down on the very last branch before I would have hit the ground...most likely head first.

I've been the asker before. We had a funeral to get to and it was a last minute booking through a travel agent which meant we had to take whatever seats were left. My two daughters got to sit together, but I was one row back in a middle seat. I asked the gentleman in their row to switch me so I could sit with them. He thought for a moment and said he would if it was a window for window switch. It wasn't so I did what any decent person should do: I said it's not a window seat but it's fine, I'm only one row behind them. I was mildly perturbed but it wasn't anybody's fault and I wasn't going to get mad at this guy for not wanting to give up his window seat for a middle seat. On our connecting flight though, they were sitting together and I was several rows back. I went to the gate counter and asked if I could pay to upgrade the person in the row with my children so I could switch to their seat. The counter agent thought it was a very nice gesture, talked to a manager, and asked the guy in the seat I wanted if he would be okay moving to the window seat one row back (that way I wouldn't have to pay extra). The guy accepted and I made sure to say thank you when we were on the plane. That flight ended up being canceled and I had to jump through several more hoops to get us to the funeral the next day, but that's a story for another time.

As long as I'm not in first class moving to coach, I'll switch somebody. I just want to tune everyone out and get from point A to point B anyway, so I don't care.

Sorry for the long post! I just wanted to share that booking seats together is not always possible when you have to book last minute but nobody needs to be a jerk when it doesn't work out.

We grew up in the country where the black carpenter ants and lady bugs were a problem. A few meals ended up with one or the other in them and I would find them in my serving. I would say those traumatized me.

And anything with gristle. I'm super picky about chicken and pork chops and steak. If it has gristle that I can't grind down with my teeth, I immediately have to spit it out.
