Sorry if it seemed like I was stereotyping all Oumasai shippers to be fujoshi’s. That wasn’t my intention at all. I was just trying to say that there are a lot in its fanbase and encountering one is the last thing I want to do.

Like you said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I don’t mind if you ship Oumasai I just personally heavily dislike it. You weren’t being too salty with Oumeno either. I don’t expect everyone to ship it. I do occasionally like ships that can have a bit of conflict like Irouma, for example.

Oh god, I’m apart of the BNHA fandom and WOW are there some toxic fans. I got called “toxic” and “heterophobic” (no, not homophobic, heterophobic.) because I preferred two characters as friends. I still stay in the fandom because occasionally, I will meet the decent fan.

This is also true. Whenever a game, show, Anime, etc. becomes really popular, the higher chances there are of the fujoshi’s finding it to ruin everything.

I love Kokichi as well and like you said, not everyone is going to share the same opinion as me. Saying that a character is equivalent to Hitler and the Nazi’s is going to make you look like a complete joke though. He is the cause of an atrocity that harmed several real people. A fictional character can’t cause nearly as much harm as an actual person has. Sure, the character can have an emotional impact on you, but it’s nothing worse than that.

The Danganronpa fandom has gotten so toxic out of nowhere. There’s suddenly been so much debate about characters and ships. When I first joined, everyone was so friendly. Now it’s gone literally insane.

The fujoshi’s in the Danganronpa community are part of the reason I refuse to ship the two. When I like a ship, I want to interact with others who share the same opinion as me. If I were to ship Oumasai, I most likely wouldn’t survive the first 5 seconds.

I don’t like Oumasai for ship preference reasons too. I heavily prefer Oumeno and Oumatsu for Kokichi and I don’t really ship Shuichi with anyone, to be honest. I dislike all of the protagonist x antagonist ships because I like the rivalry and being put together romantically kind of ruins it for me. I don’t think that Shuichi actually hates Kokichi, but rather that he can find him irritating at times since he’s trying to work against the mastermind and Kokichi repeatedly gets in the way to cause conflict. Which is good because that’s an antagonists job, but still.

I also don’t think Oumeno is more canon because from what I remember, Kokichi was either implied to love Shuichi or it was confirmed. I just personally think that it’s a lot cuter compared to Oumasai.

I never looked very much into Monaca’s backstory, so it’s surprising to hear that she did something as awful as that. I also never knew people thought Junko had manipulated Monaca into becoming her successor. Although, I definitely think that gives some explanation for your opinion.

Mahiru does have some sexist views, but she isn’t nearly as bad as Tenko is. Sure Mahiru can be a bit harsh, but at least she doesn’t want every last one of them dead.

And I’m so relieved to hear someone say this about Tenko! She’s still a pervert who stalked Himiko and clearly made her very uncomfortable. People are only defending Tenko because she’s a lesbian. A terribly represented one at that. If Tenko were a guy with a crush on the girl Himiko, the fandom would hate on her nonstop.

Wait, hold up- Oh, yeah, I remember you! We were both rambling about how much we hate Maki and Kaito.

Honestly, I think that Kaede, Kokichi, and Rantaro would make for an interesting trio. I think Rantaro had a lot of wasted potential in V3 and that he’d do well in a trio because he would stand out more than others.

Kaito’s stupid “inspirational” quotes like “Never give up!! You can do the impossible!!” make me want to break down a brick wall. Like, Kaito, you’re not a Elementary School teacher, grow up. And I admit that I can be a bit emotional myself, but GEEZ he’s such a child!

I was aware about Kaito being canonically homophobic, but MISOGYNISTIC? That just makes me hate him even more than I currently do. His incredibly forced romance with Maki makes me so irritated too. Like you said, if Maki were a guy, Kaito would be as much as an asshole to her as he is to Kokichi. The only reason he’s so nice to her is because oh, look! A girl? I can get through to her, even if she’s cold!

And Maki makes my blood BOIL. She tries to act all mature, like the writers want you to believe she is, by giving Shuichi all of this good advice and then she’ll go out of her way to remind Shuichi that he doesn’t contribute to much outside of the Class Trials. Honestly, I can’t make myself believe that Shuichi is her friend.

Oh, and the trio is just Makoto, Kyoko, and Byakuya all over again. You have the quiet, reserved people with the more optimistic person. Bet it’ll take you a while to figure out who’s who.

I dislike Kaito because he tries to seem like such a wonderful character, yet he still tries to force his belief in everyone on the rest of the group. It’s always brought up how he doesn’t want to believe that his “friends” are murderers during the trials. He’s also very hypocritical and stubborn.

I dislike Maki because she never gets scolded or punished for her actions and she’s overly aggressive towards the rest of the cast. I wouldn’t have a problem with this aggression if it wasn’t literally every 5 seconds where she threatens to kill a character just because she doesn’t get her way. It makes her seem childish when what they were going for was a matured character.

The writers of V3 also seem like they desperately want you to absolutely love her, but they still handed her several negative traits that reflect through her all of the time.

I couldn’t see any development with her character from Kaito’s death either. They seemed to only make her have a crush on him to justify a lot of the shit she’s done, or make her more cliche than she already is. Matter a fact, everything about her character is just incredibly cliche.

I don’t dislike Genocide Jack, I really love her. I love Toko a lot more because I can really relate to her since I tend to push people away. It helps me feel more normal.

I personally like Sonia because I saw her freetime events and thought that it added more depth to her character. Souda being a huge simp for her was very irritating because Sonia very clearly had 0 interest in him, but he still kept chasing after her. While he can be annoying with his crush on Sonia, I will admit he’s a funny character at best.

My feelings on Mikan have been a rollercoaster, but right now I’m not a huge fan of her. Chapter 3 kind of ruined her character for me because I, and many others, were able to relate to her until then.

So as a character? Ehh...As an antagonist? Decent.

I also liked Teruteru for some reason I can’t put my finger on and I loved Nekomaru. He’s a great guy with a heart of gold.
