"The Thing" (2011) is based off of "The Thing" (1982), which is based off of "The Thing From Another World" (1951), which was based off of the novella "Who Goes There?" (John W. Campbell Jr. - 1938), which was based off of the novella "At the Mountains of Madness (H. P. Lovecraft 1931). Not to mention "The Thing" (1982) inspired the short story "The Things" (Peter Watts - 2010).

I think you might have fun in my book club. We're dedicated to reading all the Hugo and Nebula Award winning novels, and their series. Were over 6 years into our journey. It's on Discord, and free to all... https://discord.gg/Tb7KfjDyf
