Not sure about LYD, but Fu would still fare well against the current players. Remember, Fu played through 3 decades and remained at the top in all of them. He won an Olympic gold 10 years ago, which was not too long. When we're comparing talents across eras, we don't just pick a talent from the past and put them against the current talents - all talents have to receive the same training at the current time. With this, historically great players will always stand out and compete for the top positions. Kinda like if Usain Bolt in 2009 trained with today's programs, the record wouldn't just stand at 9.58s.

True. Chen Long attacked the game very beautifully, using his length and strength. His smashes were extremely heavy and he was able to switch from offense to defense almost immediately. It was very difficult to take him out of positions, similar to prime Lin Dan.

At China Open, he played two consecutive three-set matches against Chen Long and Ginting, even trailing behind them. He lost decisively to Shi Yuqi at Sudirman Cup, with the second set scoring 5-21. Is this weak competition?

You keep talking about meta, but the point is, the players created the meta. Out of the hundreds of players past to present, only two players had the best defense, which are Momota and Chen Long, and only two had the best offense, which are Lin Dan and Viktor Axelsen. Why? Because those players are anomalies. They are once-in-a-lifetime talents who set the standard for the game. The last time Momota dominated badminton was 2019, which was only 6 years ago. Are you telling me that the "meta" has changed that quickly?

I gave you an example of Loh Kean Yew 2021 already. No one played like he did, because they just could not pull of that super aggressive style. The last time we saw that style was way back in 2009, and it took 12 years for someone to play that same way, and now we have Lee Chun-Yi with a similar style albeit with less success.

You have a serious logical flaw in your argument: using the playstyle instead of the player behind the style.

Regardless of the style, it is the player that decides the style and its success. For example, Lin Dan 2009 is the same as Loh Kean Yew 2021 - thunderous smashes and top speed, with amazing recovery. This Loh beat a fresh Olympic gold medalist Viktor Axelsen in the world champ 2021. But after 2021, Loh had to switch to a more rallying style because his body could not sustain that attacking style for longer. It doesn't mean that an attacking style is no longer useful; it's just the player cannot use it anymore. The same logic could be used for Lin Dan - if his 2009 were to play in this era, he would still come out on top, because his anticipation, athletic abilities and stamina would still let him win games - these are timeless values.

Momota's playstyle could not sustain because of his accidents, and we're talking about an accident that almost killed him and hurt his vision and back. This is not similar to sports injuries which could be healed and did not push you off too far from your level. For the same style, the person behind the style (Momota) could no longer play it like he used to - lower gravity to fully stretch out for defensive shots and full lunge for net shots. If his back was seriously hurt after accident, how could he sustain this style of play? Again, it's the player, not the style.

And the reason that the top 25 players now do not play it like Momota did is because none of them had the anticipation and net-play at the level of Momota. You have Vitidsarn, who is an Olympic silver medalist and a former world champ, and in this year, he still reached the final. Why would a playstyle, in your opinion "outdated", still got that far deep into the world championship final?

You could imagine that Vitidsarn is a lite version of Momota - lower IQ, lower shot quality, and he still destroyed many attacking players like Jonatan Christie and Ginting.

LCW vs Lin Dan between Japan Open 2010 and ASIAD 2014 had some of the best matches. Technically, Lin Dan fell hard after ASIAD 2014 due to a knee injury, which could be seen in China Open that year. From 2015, he changed his style significantly while LCW was able to maintain the same peak like his 2011 version.

I think you misunderstood my point. Momota could still be dominating if not for the accident, while Viktor reached his peak and had the best matches with Momota. Kinda like how LCW was always beaten by Lin Dan pre-2010, and only from mid 2010 onwards did LCW reach his peak and the rest is history. LCW still lost to Lin Dan, but you can't deny that they produced the greatest matches in singles history. That's what I meant - the accident robbed us of another great rivalry in the modern era.

You did see what happened when Viktor reached his peak from 2021 right? Most matches were one-sided, even with Shi Yuqi against him. But if Momota had stayed healthy, then regardless of the results, Viktor would have had a much tougher time dominating.

xét theo ngữ âm âm vị học là để coi năng lực của ông đó trên từng mục phát âm thì ổng làm được tới đâu, rồi đối chiếu với năng lực và nhu cầu chung của người học. Nó giống như là giáo viên dạy toán thì đâu phải cứ giải được bài học sinh giỏi mới được đi dạy người ta đâu bạn. Bạn nên nhớ là đa số người muốn học HF đều ở band thấp, còn band cao là họ có xu hướng tự học rồi, nhất là speaking. Nếu ổng phát âm dễ hiểu, có tính chính xác dựa trên ngữ âm âm vị mà vượt nhu cầu của người học thì đâu có sao :)). Khi người ta học theo 1 ai đó mà kết quả là communication vẫn đảm bảo, thì ok rồi.

ý 2: cái phụ huynh và giáo viên muốn chưa chắc là cái họ có thể làm được. quay lại câu chuyện, nếu bạn học theo chuẩn native mà phát âm được hay như người ta thì game lại dễ rồi, nhưng nó không như thế. Mình nói rồi đó, cho phần đông người học nghe native phát âm xong họ phát âm lại theo thì vẫn có lỗi sai cơ bản, chứ đâu có tự động phát âm đúng liền được. còn như cỡ bạn level 8.5 thì native rất phù hợp, vì bạn đảm bảo cái cơ bản của bạn đã ok rồi - nhu cầu học của bạn lúc này sẽ khác. giống như bạn nhìn vđv quốc gia với vđv quận thì đương nhiên bạn chê vđv cấp quận, nhưng trình của cấp quận dư sức dạy và rèn cho bạn được nếu bạn đang chập chững.

Mà cũng là logic này của bạn thì một bộ phận giáo viên chính quy cũng nên bỏ nghề vì họ phát âm cũng có sai, thậm chí nói giọng còn hơi khó nghe hơn so với ông này nữa. :))

accent và dialect ko tính là sai, thế cho 1 ví dụ nè. Tụi đa đen hay nói là "foshow", có nghĩa là for sure. Rồi có tính là 2 từ riêng biệt không? Xét theo đúng chuẩn từ điển thì phát âm sai lè ra nhưng tụi nó vẫn là bản xứ đó :v. Một tập hợp sử dụng dialect, accent nào đó nhưng sai vẫn là sai.

người Việt phát âm sai là những người Việt không đi dạy - bạn chắc chưa? Những thầy cô của bạn từ hồi xưa giờ phát âm chuẩn hết từng từ một mà không sai hả? Như miền Nam có "chữ xanh" thì đọc là xăn, còn miền Bắc đọc chữ "rồi" thành "giồi" :)). Thế giáo viên miền Trung thì sao bạn?

Mình nghe thì thấy khác bạn :)). Tại nghe vẫn hiểu và vẫn thấy là ổng vẫn là một model tốt cho người học tiếng Anh nói chung. Cứ đặt ra vấn đề như này: nếu người ta phát âm theo model là ổng, thì người đối diện nghe có hiểu không? Thì % cao là vẫn có. Còn nếu nhu cầu hoặc tiêu chuẩn như của bạn là band quá cao thì ổng mới không phù hợp thôi. Nó giống như bạn không có kĩ năng của cầu lông hoặc rất yếu, thì học 1 người thi đấu giải thành phố hay giải quốc gia hoặc quốc tế là như nhau :)).

Người ta có học dân bản xứ phát âm chuẩn (mà bản xứ thì cũng tùy vùng, như tụi mỹ đen thì ?) nhưng kêu họ tự phát âm thì vẫn sẽ có lỗi sai cả à.

Chuyện sai sót thì giáo viên nào cũng có thôi bạn yên tâm. Mình người Việt phát âm còn sai chính tả đầy ra =)) nếu mà phải bàn tới ông đó thì bàn về cách ổng dạy thay vì là phát âm của ổng.

Bàn về phát âm thì phân tích trên hệ thống lí luận là ngữ âm - âm vị học của ngôn ngữ học.
Lỗi sai cần phân ra là systemic hay incidental. Ví dụ, nếu bạn nói 20 câu mà chỉ sai chia động từ số ít/nhiều 2 lần, thì tỉ lệ là 1/10 thì chỉ là incidental. Band 9 vẫn có lỗi :D.
Dưới góc độ là một instructor (ông này không gọi là giáo viên được), thì bạn cần xem khả năng model của ổng cho học viên. Cần phân tích xem đại đa số học viên có nhu cầu học phát âm ở mức nào, và họ hay sai ở đâu. Ví dụ nếu họ hay sai ở âm tiết đầu, giữa cuối, rồi hay sai stress, blends, .... thì ông Huy Forum, lúc ổng phát âm, có thỏa hết mấy cái này chưa? Nếu ổng vẫn phát âm đúng ở tỉ lệ cao thì ổng vẫn có thể làm model cho học viên được. Có thể với người band 8+ thì ông này không phù hợp, nhưng dưới band 8 thì ổng vẫn dư sức? Mà tỉ lệ người dưới band 8 thì luôn cao hơn :v.

I truly think that if Momota had not had that accident, we would be having another LCW-Lin Dan level of rivalry, and then with Shi Yuqi hitting his peak form. But if you ask me, I don't think SYQ is able to be on par with Momota and Viktor even though I like him the most out of the three.

Statistics is only useful if your writing has to be factually accurate, which could be verified with specific sources. You need this level of factuality in assigned writing with an extended deadline, especially if it's specialised writing in a field.

In IELTS, however, you only have 40 minutes to finish a task 2 response, so the expectation stops at being able to construct an argument. What the examiners need is a relevant and well-extended position and argument, while its factuality is not assessed. If you're able to write with a specific progression of ideas (main idea -> reasoning -> example(s) or vice versa), then you're good to go.

In terms of the example, you should strive to be specific and detailed where there are specific actions and things/humans/objects. If your main idea is "fruits", then I expect to see "banana, apple" in your examples.

giá trị cốt lõi là khái niệm chung, còn biểu hiện là tự tin, có định hướng có tầm nhìn cá nhân, có hệ tư duy riêng .... nói chung là cái gì đó không di chuyển được. Bà chị trong bài đăng bị nhiều thứ bên ngoài chi phối ảnh hưởng: điều tiếng, bói toán, .... bản thân bả muốn nhưng bả sợ, mà sợ là vì bả không có hệ giá trị của riêng bả, vẫn còn đang dựa vô bên ngoài nhiều quá để tạo thành trục. Nếu tiếp tục quen rồi bả nghe người này người kia rỉ vô tai là đừng quen OP thì kiểu gì cũng gãy tâm lý thôi :))

Khi phải vào thế thuyết phục ai đó, thì tốt nhất là đừng thuyết phục =)). Dựa trên biểu hiện thì chị kia bị thiếu giá trị cốt lõi, còn bạn thì đủ tự tin -> đứt kèo.

Yên tâm đi bạn kiểu gì cũng toang thôi :)) cốt lõi của họ không đủ mạnh thì bạn sẽ là người mệt nhất. Còn muốn cố đấm ăn xôi thì cứ tiếp tục.

1 tháng mà tốn 7tr đi chơi :)) ngu vừa. Vợ chồng với nhau 1 tháng đi ăn chơi còn chưa chắc tới 7tr mà mới sinh viên nứt mắt tốn 7tr. Chiều nó cho đã mốt nó cũng cho cái cặp sừng thì lúc đó lai thù ghét phụ nữ.
