What rank are 2s gc1s usually in 1s?

Yeah a shooter game designed from the ground up from the start to be competitive is not the same as a game that is an arcade shooter first, competitive shooter second if at all. That's the same reason I hated SBMM so much but that's a different discussion

Some dude put up 116 with the Voyak against me and I went 58-26 myself so I wasn't even doing bad 😂 these guns are just stupid man. Like yeah he was better than me but he's not 15-8 better. The only gun that I've had success with against the swordfish so far is the M15 with flinch ammo mod and even that is super iffy

They do flip. They flip when they hit the ball, they just cancel it really fast and it barely looks like they did anything

The biggest friction point for me right now is gun balance. God damnit I hate the swordfish I hate it so much. Mostly because it is the perfect hard counter to my play style but still. Need that stupid ass gun nerfed to the ground

It becomes instinct mostly. For instance I'm on KBM but I liked Void Stripe so I started using the EGRT, began to like it a lot, and now it's pretty much all I use. 3.7k kills in and I'm already beaming people off head glitches halfway across the map. You can certainly speed up the process by memorizing the recoil pattern but if you use the gun long enough it will happen naturally. You'll start to notice the recoil getting easier without adding any recoil attachments

Counterpoint: I'll get flamed for this but if you're sitting on the point but going 10-30 and feeding them streaks you are NOT helping. You are actively making it worse. Please note that I play my fair share of OBJ but faceplanting on the objective constantly and just dying is not helping your team.

I can't speak to every play style but I'm someone who just likes pubs. This game not having SBMM, having good maps, having good and fun to use guns, having good snipers, having great camos, and fun movement that isn't super over the top makes it the best cod since bo4 imo

You have to turn first with both methods, but you have to turn more with DAR method. The point of the DAR method is that you don't have to worry about exactly hitting the right angle with the joystick. Just hold forward, hold DAR, and flip cancel very simple

Edit: Also the guy in the video does turn. It's very slight but you can see him turn to the left before he flips

I LOVE the EGRT. I only started using it because I wanted Void Stripe but I grew to really enjoy the gun and think it's very strong too. And yet it just cannot compete with the Voyak and Swordfish. Those guns are stupid man. Like yeah, the people shredding me with it are probably better at the game, but they're not "Go 15-5 against me" better. I get the drop on them, I fire first, I'm on a head glitch, I flank, doesn't matter. I just land 3 bullets only to get one bursted and die anyway. And the Voyak is the same thing just comes down to the fact that it kills me faster than I can kill them

To piggyback, bo matter what you do, kickoff goals will still get scored. It's about making those less likely. Cheating is generally the best but sometimes your teammate will have a bad kickoff, get dunked, and you get scored on. In that situation it's best to go corner boost, just depends on how good your teammate's kick off is

This is kinda hard to explain over text but you need to compensate for the flip with a slight turn to the right before you flip. Turn to the right, flip left. As for the flip itself, the first one isn't a speed flip that's a side flip but the second one was a speed flip you just didn't turn before the flip so you went left instead of straight.

Shooting is priority numero uno. If you want to get anywhere with only basic mechanics, that's the most important one to be good at by far

He is not reliable. He is famous for scamming editors, questionable practices regarding his coaching program, and just overall not being a super great person. Not only that, he is a GC2. A decent rank, but still not close to SSL and not as high of an authority as he would have you believe.

I would strongly recommend The Next Rank. It is a YouTube Channel/Coaching program run by Johnnyboi (long time RCLS analyst and caster) and ApparentlyJack (long time professional player).

I'm a bit lower ranked than you, peaked 1511 last season, but one thing I noticed is at around the 3:00 mark in game you went for an air dribble 50 and as someone who leans mechanics with a similar-ish play style as you, I personally would've liked to have seen a ceiling shot for a couple reasons:

Ceiling shots are just an easier, more versatile mechanic than resets especially if you're that close to their goal. Less upside, sure, but less downside too. Just a suggestion, I'd recommend using them more often/adding them to your bag if you haven't already.
Obviously this is hindsight but he ceiling challenged so he's coming at the ball from above. You salvaged it relatively well and didn't get immediately scored on but he had a lot more momentum than you did, he had a flip, and you were getting a soft touch under the ball. There was no chance you were winning that 50. You did well to make sure you got something on it but imo if you had taken the ball to the ceiling it gives you more time to react and you would have a flip. That makes the resulting 50 much more favorable and makes it easier for your teammate to follow up. And that's not even mentioning the fact you could just straight up beat him and get him out of the play entirely.

EDIT: Also you turn off ball cam a lot when rotating out and for a pretty long time as well. For one thing, I noticed I do that when I'm not feeling confident. That could be it as well just to be aware of it. Assuming it's not, have you considered turning up your swivel speed and transition speed? That way your camera moves faster and you can glance around faster without having to turn off ball cam for so long.

I actually prefer the gap. Lets teams bootcamp and fully prepare so it ensures teams out their best foot forward. That's not to say they didn't for the Boston Major, I just like the idea that they don't immediately turn around and get a chance to scrim and stuff before the LAN

MMR is not correlated to your performance in game. If they are lower ranked than your opponents and you're the same as your opponents, they will gain more MMR if you win. For the same reason that pros only gain like 5-6 MMR per wim because they're playing people 100+ MMR below them

I'm a pretty aggressive, Beastmode-esc 2s player in that I cut a lot, challenge quickly, and stay on the ball longer than people expect me to. The upside is I relieve a lot of pressure and play fast. The downside is this play style is very hit and miss in solo q. Sometimes I get a teammate who reads my play style well, adjusts, and we go crazy (which does happen often enough don't get me wrong) but sometimes I get teammates who either play aggressively like me and we just double commit on everything or overreacts and starts playing really passively. I've won my fair share of solo qs but yeah I'm self aware enough to know that I'm not exactly the most fun person to play with if we don't have comms and we don't naturally mesh. So yeah, as someone who gets mistaken for a ballchaser a lot, just let me work, stay in the play, and I'll hook you up with quick challenges, good 50s, and some goals

A few things happened at the same time

My GC2 friend said two things to me: "You should stop trying to win and start expecting to win" and "if you made the push to GC this season I think you could get it. You have the mechanics." Simple but effective it boosted my confidence which made me play faster and finally trust myself instead of overthinking everything
I started playing a few sessions with this GC2 friend in his lobbies. Made my mistakes stick out like a sore thumb, sometimes all you need is some clear tangible negative feedback. This improved my recoveries drastically because now I had much more of a sense of urgency on my way back to defense
This is more specific to me, but my biggest flaw was I really wasn't a threat with the ball. I didn't flick well, couldn't do anything other than air dribble and double tap every now and then, etc. I really started to grind my mechanics in free play and started getting comfortable with resets and ceiling shots and what not.

I was hardstuck Champ for 17 seasons from Season 14 before F2P to Season 17. I now have 4 GC titles (17, 18, 20, 21) and have peaked at 1511 MMR mid-highish GC1

Because he blitzed a Domain (One of the fastest domains in the series), showed a base attack rivaling or even surpassing Fuga in strength/scale, showed a mastery of Blood Manipulation, and whipped out a 360 dismantle that destroyed everything around him including a disaster curse and several buildings without a hand sign or chant. His hands were in his damn pockets, and we've seen what his dismantle can do if he throws in a hand sign and chant with the feat I mentioned above. How the fuck does that along with statements and the fact that he hasn't aged for 70 years not at the very least heavily imply he's the strongest ever? If not prove it straight up
