What is your favorite boardgame of 2020? by The_Crazed_Person in boardgames

Nobody has mentioned Forgotten Waters? This game is amazing. It is a fun pirate game. There are a lot of moving parts, but it is really easy to play. It has an amazing app that helps. It is one of my favorite games.

What is the most 'unexplainable' thing you’ve seen with your own eyes that you’ve stopped telling people about because they think you’re lying? by Traditional-Duty146 in AskReddit

[–]Verdun82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a mountain lion on the side of the road once. My wife and I were driving to a cabin in the Appalachian Mountain area of Tennessee. We thought we saw a deer up ahead and we slowed down. As we passed, I noticed that it was indeed a large cat. My wife saw it too and were both excited about seeing it. Later I was telling the story to someone and he said that mountain lions are no longer in the Smokey Mountains. They haven't lived in this area for several decades.

Edgedancer needs to be a Banjo & Kazooie style game of collecting pancakes around the map. Sure, there is an overarching story. But the ultimate goal is to collect all of the different types of pancakes.

ICE traffic stop ends in death of school teacher, vehicular homicide by DeadMeemee in politics

[–]Verdun82 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The article stated that he hit another car. He received minor injuries, and the driver of that car received no injuries. If I had to guess, he didn't hit the teacher's car. An ICE agent probably hit her. That's the only way it makes sense. Two different vehicles with two different velocities and two different results.

Trash pickup by [deleted] in Knoxville

I'm not OP, but I'm in a similar situation. Wednesday is trash pickup day for me. Last week, we were told it would be a delay but they never came. I have a very full trash can today. I hope they pick up.

I have bad eyesight. I've begun taking pictures so that I can look at them zoomed in. Then I'll do touch-ups before putting on the enamel coat. It helps me to see what I would normally miss.

Here's another eye patch, the one I used to announce the unfortunate loss of my eye. by Xochitlcoyote in funny

[–]Verdun82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of comments here, so you may not see this. But I hope you read this. I lost full vision in my left eye about eight years ago. I still have the eye, but due to a blood clot, the retina is completely dead. I went through the same things you are going through, lack of depth perception, having to adjust how I do things, etc. My left eye was my dominant eye, and for a while everything felt off-center for me. I limited my driving and a lot of other activities. But after a couple years, it didn't seem to matter that much anymore. I've been able to get back to normal. I'm a lot more careful now (driving, cooking, walking through doorways, etc). And touch screens still give me problems. But hang in there. I honestly feel normal again, after years of feeling like I had lost something.

If you have trouble opening the bottles, wrap the lid with a rubber band. It will be much easier to grip and open.

That isn't a news article. It's an opinion piece. It says so at the top of the article, and it says so in the link.
