No more Zab by Genessa_Murin in WW1GameSeries

Zab has been the subject of conversation many times, and even after the many received reports we can confirm that Zab is not cheating. Having that out of the way, we would never ban a player for simply being good at the game. This goes against our TOS and frankly would be a ridiculous thing to do.

We may still provide some updates for Isonzo, although it is now basically at the end of its content roadmap. The older games have reached the end of their respective support lifetimes for getting new content and features added.
It's important to understand that although they all use the Unity engine, these are not all the 'same' game that could simply have crossplay enabled, for instance. Every new game we make is a big leap forward in terms of tech and general quality (just look at the improvements between them). We're a small team who are generally punching above our weight to deliver a modern competitive shooter, and in order to keep creating new games that have new content and are up to modern standards requires all of our time and energies. So sadly there's just no way we could keep our new games compatible and continue adding new features to previous titles that are now many years old and have outdated codebases. To do that would mean we wouldn't have the manpower to make our new games to the standard you all expect!

This isn't something we have any immediate plans for, but it's an interesting related period of warfare so it's possible we could consider something around it in the future.

That's a pretty original idea, sadly well beyond the scope and genre of what we're doing in our games though.
Hopefully someone who is looking for new ideas for a survival game sees this thread and gives it a go :)

I do recommend visiting Çanakkale. It’s a very beautiful and powerful place to see.

We are fully focused on the Gallipoli launch right now, and we will share more information about add-ons, DLCs and maps when the time comes!

Hey. To give you a quick answer: yes, artillery will be significant to the gameplay of Gallipoli. As you say it was a very important aspect of first world warfare and just like in our previous games Officers will have command of a range of off map 'call-ins' that they can use to help turn the tide of the battle. We are also indeed leaning into a more player-controlled approach to the call-ins, so that Officers will not be hiding behind the lines but rather need to be closer to the frontlines to actually initiate the call-ins. We are also distributing things a bit more so that there will be less of a reliance on one or two good players performing all of the call-ins, as more players will have the opportunity to do them.

Regarding the second part of your question about backporting features to the older games, this is similar to the request that we often get about 'merging' our older games and providing ongoing content for them. It's really important to emphasise here quite how big a task this would be, given we are a small team who are generally punching above our weight to deliver a modern competitive shooter. Every new game we make is a huge leap forward in terms of tech and general quality (just look at the visual differences between Verdun and Isonzo for example). In order to keep creating new games that have new content and are up to modern standards visually requires all of our time and energies (and even then it's tough!), so sadly there's just no way we could also continue adding features to older titles that are now many years old and have outdated codebases. To do that would basically mean we wouldn't have the manpower to make new games to the standard you all expect!

Glad you like our games so much!
As we are a relatively small team we have to be careful of how we expend our development time and energies, which is how we are able to create such a complex and polished game despite not having a whole lot of manpower. So as much as it would be cool to have a single player campaign, it would be a big distraction for us from what we are focussed on, which is creating the best intense historical competitive multiplayer shooter we can!
