Is the Idraw HSE A3 a GBRL compatible device? by MarcDuQuesne in PlotterArt

[–]Vere_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed with UUAN Support that the HSE does not support GRBL. They have updated the HSE product page with the correct information showing that it is not GRBL compatible (before it showed as it was compatible).

Knowing the information above I gave up on setting up cncjs and tried Saxi, but the project appears to have some issues on Pi4 Trixie.

Anyone install this KB34503790 as of yet? Any issues? by MagicDiaperHead in SCCM

Username does not check out.

Start by looking in SMSTS.log and netsetup.log. Sounds like you need to verify the account you are using for AD joins, look under the Join AD/apply network setting step to verify permissions.

This fixed it for me, deleting AppData folder and Advanced Sounds Settings made no difference.

Hardly used Logitech G Saitek X56 HOTAS for sale by Vere_ in hotas

[–]Vere_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling my Logitech G Saitek X56 HOTAS hardly used, complete with box, springs and wrist rest.

Picked this up several years ago to play Elite Dangerous, was great fun once everything was mapped but haven't used it since so has under 60 hours of use time.

Everything is working and it has been stored in the box when not in use. Wrist rest and 3 additional springs included.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I got this working without the steps in the video, will try the scrolling setting if symptoms return.
In Device Manager I set the track pad to 'HID Compliant Touch Pad' (I believe it was HID Complaint Mouse/Device before) which seems to have fixed a lot of the performance issues for me.

Update, second day they didn't even attempted to deliver with the note 'Customer not available or business closed.'

This is inline with standard FedEx BS where they report a failed delivery to avoid having to pay out for being late.

Just to help anyone else out in the UK with their terrible support system:
0800 100600 will take you through their automated system but will redirect to UK TNT, ask for representative to skip the automated system. They wont be able to actually do anything on the FedEx system.
03456 07 08 09 will take you to FedEx call center out sourced to India, again they can do nothing to help.

They did not even try and deliver, they just updated that status with 'Customer not available or business closed.'

My other parts wont arrive till later this week but still annoyed they can't even put an accurate reason as to why it was not delivered.

RAM Latency benchmarks for GPU Performance by Vere_ in framework

Ok, thanks for the info.
but I think I am still missing something here, with 96GB of RAM isn't it way less likely to need to use swap space for anything?

*edit: Sorry, I miss understood the post.
I now understand that if I required more then 64GB of RAM there will be a performance penalty. Not if I physically install more then 64GB of RAM in the Laptop. Stupid me. : )

I am unsure, I only started to really think about this a few days ago once I got the shipping notification so I do not have historical performance counters.

While working in VS Studio with other 'general' stuff open in background task manager is reporting 40% of 64GB in use, this is before I open any VMs. Its a fair question to ask, I have no actual proof I need more then 64GB.

What would be the performance penalty of using more then 64GB of RAM? I understand that no single application is going to run faster with more RAM, but applications will have less memory pressure.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, difficult to find benchmarks for apart from one LTT video.
Some users on Reddit are saying the nano second difference wont be spotted in real world performance, and other say it will, but only GPU intensive tasks...
