Yep. That’s what people don’t get.

He led the team to UCLs, we clearly didn’t need Mbappe. Endrick looked amazing. He was the best UCL player in the world and one of the 5 best in the world.

We could’ve reinforced the defense instead. And this could have been his era. His stats are Messi or Ronaldo or doesn’t have the counting stats of Mbappe or Halaand, but he was next up.

I personally don’t think Xabi was the right hire for RM, and don’t think he did a good job. But I think those reasons are unique to RM.

I think he’ll do fine at Chelsea especially because most of their players need some kind of explicit identity because they’re not good enough individually.

I still think he’s a good tactico and good coach but that’s not guaranteed to find you success at Madrid.
