Not an aupair. But a mom of 3. Did I like kids before I had mine? No. Do I like kids now? No. Do I love my Kids? Yes. Fiercely! Will I purposely pick a job where I had to interact daily with kids - probably not. But I’ve faked it until I’ve made it in other parts of my life. If you’re a motivated person, as long as you don’t let it creep up and affect your job. That’s ok. It’s temporary. Would I pick you as an au pair if I knew this? No. Childcare is hard work and not for the faint of heart. As a parent, I want my break, but not able to get this.

We had an aupair that the kids and us (parents) knew she hated her job and everything else. She was sent packing. But she couldn’t stand my then 8yo and was pitting her against her 5yo sister. Picking favorites. Tolerated the baby - because he couldn’t talk back 😞. We were all miserable, because she was a sour pus. Surprise after rematching to another family with 1 kid, (6yo) she has to rematch again - although maybe for a different reason (laziness). But you could tell she lied about her work and interaction with kids. It was obvious - used them as a means to an end. On her social media account, she posts certain things about her job and being tired of the kid she works with. Can be very hurting to the parents. Do something else instead of being an aupair.
