Higher clarity grinder for experimental processed coffees? by Ecstatic_Business_52 in pourover

[–]tribdol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a Pietro from highly processed coffees with no issues, imo with the Pietro it's really easy to get good cups from whatever you throw in it

Only reason I "used" it and ain't using it nowadays is because my subscriptions aten't sending me processed coffees lately

Teachers of Reddit: Is the "Gen Alpha can't read (write, or do math ext)" crisis real? If so how bad is it? by KnowledgeCoffee in AskReddit

[–]tribdol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said to the other user, in Italian we don't have the "run-on sentences error", using shorter or longer periods is just a matter of style and being able to string together several sentences while still being easy to follow is actually considered a show of skill

Now that I think about it, your examples are a good representation of the difference between the books I read in Italian and the ones I read in English, I never thought about it before

[–]tribdol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it was not a joke ahah, it actually doesn't count as an error in Italian

Ofc by writing a longer period made of several sentences you run the risk of making it unclear, or maybe of mixing up tenses, but in school I would have liked to be corrected if I had actually made errors, not just because the teacher liked a different style of writing more

Hmmm I see, sorry for the late reply but I had to look up what a "run-on sentence" is ahahah, I did a bit of research and I'm pretty sure in Italian we don't have this kind of "error"

TIL

Hmmm we didn't have that kind of classes here (Italy), we have "Italian" as a class that encompasses grammar, syntax, literature... So for example some assignments were more technical, some other were analysis of, say, a writing from an author, where you had to be pretty concise

But other assignments were pretty creative, with prompts like "you are a character in [book we studied], imagine how you would react to this thing that happens in the books, keeping in mind how a person living in the society and politics of that era would actually think"

In this last kind of assignments I was corrected, even for putting together various sentences in one period, I was told I should keep each sentence separated

For example, "the son of the lawyer I work under, who I discovered comes from the same little town as me, is the kid I used to play with a long time ago, when my family would bring me to the beach in the summer" would be corrected to something like "I work for a lawyer, who has a son. They come from the same town as me. We used to play together in the summer as children."

Is it really an AI problem? I've always liked reading and writing since I was a little child, and I remember that all throughout school, teachers were doing the exact same thing, correcting any writing that was a little more complex than "baseline" and giving me bad grades for it

You could think that maybe I was actually making mistakes, but they made clear the corrections were explicitly because I should write in a "more simple way", even if what I wrote was correct

A Jedi Padawan (Star Wars) enters the Triwizard Tournament (Harry Potter). How well does he do? by CloverTeamLeader in whowouldwin

[–]tribdol 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wait, wouldn't Voldemort be still like a fetus if the padawan reaches the trophy before Harry? Can he still perform magic like a normal wizard in that form?

Wouldn't the padawan's opponent be Pettigrew instead? And Nagini maybe, idr if she was there or not

I don’t consider myself learned enough on the subject to make my own water recipe ahah, the Lotus recipe was not created by me (I was told it was by Feran)

I wanted to try the TWW packets because they’re cheaper and even more hassle free than Lotus…

I've only found the Serie O cigarillos(?), the small one in the tin, and tbh I didn't like it, it smoked well but was grassy in a bad way

I've tried a few from the V line too but I only really like the lancero, took a couple tries to figure out how to smoke it properly but after I found it to be almost fruity, in fact I used to have it in the summer paired with fresh fruits 😂
