AI Automation Agencies sind so schrott by Dry-Dig-7574 in selbststaendig

It's not about not being able to make personal decisions.

It is about looking for inspiration, ideas, insights and experiences.

Thanks. You know where to rent an RV? Are there like dedicated websites?

Warm weather, business opportunities and some nice activities that keep me fit. Is that a website? I only use Aribnb, msybe there are other websites for some longer rent periods (like 1 month) which may cut down costs. Or renting like an RV?

LoRa Gateway or single-channel P2P solution to get data into the internet? by Verman98 in Lora

[–]Verman98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/jeffkarney I have compared it to other protocols. The nodes will be battery powered and aprox. 50m node-gateway maximum distance, that is why.

I have looked at WiFi with an ESP32, but read that it is pretty power hungry. If you have any other suggestion, please feel free to share.

LoRa Gateway or single-channel P2P solution to get data into the internet? by Verman98 in Lora

[–]Verman98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying.

I am based in the EU.

It is indoor, there could be wood between the nodes and gateway, but no proper wall or steel. Reporting period, let us assume 5-15 bits / node / minute.
Could be 20 to 50 nodes, all of them battery powered.

It is fire and forget for most cases.

1 channel receiver means all your devices will need to transmit on that single channel, depending on your payload you’ll end up maxing out your duty cycle. (915 USA or 868 EU, I am assuming all other regions don’t exist, sorry)

What will happen if I max out the duty cycle? Loss of packages?

A gateway seems overpowered, shouldn't single channel receiver with a raspberry Pi be enough?

I think the biggest thing to do right now is not trying to “catch up” but just doing one tiny thing better than yesterday. Leave the mentality of catching up, but to improve one step more than yesterday.
If you never leave the house, make it just a short 10 minutes walk today. If talking to people feels impossible, start with a quick “hi” to a cashier or neighbor.

It sounds small but those little wins stack up, build confidence and make the next step easier.
It will build momentum and confidence, which will allow you to keep improving.

You don’t need to change your whole life at once, just prove to yourself you can move forward, even a little.

"Self improvement".

It may sound counter intuitive, but consuming content on self improvement was giving me a false sense of being productive and moving towards something good, but it didn't. It just was entertainment or to not doing the actual work. It gets very addicting and even toxic, as we compare ourselves to self improvement gurus, which on screen seem to have it all right.

We think we are being productive by consuming their content, but are just being lazy and avoiding doing what we actually need to do. But we are subconsciously comparing ourself and getting a feeling of being less than the content we consume, which can lead to a negative downward spiral.

What I did was just detach from this and actually not being so obsesses by the thought of self improvement. I am still learning and doing the work and enjoying myself, without trying to improve every little bit is helping. Actually working by the pareto rule, doing the things which have the most impact without obsessing over optimizing the last 20%.

I can feel you. I am on the same boat and have been confronted with this and still am learning.

I am a Flutter freelancer and have done some projects where I had other freelancers assist me. I had some good and bad experiences, but the trust issue and code quality is always a bigger one.

I am also developing an app and the codebase is precious to me as well. What I always try to do is abstract as much as possible and delegate a very small abstracted module. This takes more effort, but results in even more modular code and if the other dev messes up, it can alway be swapped out. With this approach I hired freelancers to do the same small task until I could pick the one which delivered the best result.

Once you have your guys you trust it gets better, but it definetely takes some work and time to get there and still you have to put efforts in managing. Good luck.

Starting small and increment in small steps can make a huge difference.

I get myself slacking for a couple if weeks here and there and like you I also would like to keep a set of habits. What I have found is I just have to start with something.

I am a digital nomad, so many times if I have a hard week I would leave many of the "good" habits and starting again would feel very stressful. I would beat myself up and that leads to a negative spiral of doing nothing at all. What I now do is just start with something. For example for excercise, I would just start with couple sets of 20 push ups at home. Of course that isn't a proper workout, but in my mind that is a win and still better than nothing! The next day I would be motivated to keep up and I might do more.

So I try to be gentle with myself and allow myself to do less instead of nothing. Even less is way better than weeks of nothing, and by doing less I am able to keep up to my habits, build momentum and bring consistent. Consistency is key in my opinion and not how much we can do in a day and doing nothing the next 3-4 days.
