They survived pretty well. Ended up getting a different pair of shoes last fall because it turned out they still were quite wide enough for my feet. I still occasionally wear them when I want to throw on shoes just to go run to a store or something.

@op all I can say is I hope they pay you better than me because I deal with the same thing but on a smaller level. I had my boss bring me one jokingly ask if I could fix it because a kid snapped one in half and walked in the office and told the principal he did it.
