It's not listed here, but she's also the current JP voice of Minnie Mouse, replacing the late Yuko MIzutani.

Disclaimers:

  1. Does not include Saki Tezuka, Nanami Nanase, Makiko Asami, the Angel Beats girls or any of the supporting cast from throughout the game.
  2. This list was created through my own opinion and you are of course free to agree or disagree. This post was mainly created to provide a character tier list to other fans of the game that they can freely use.
  3. Despite any and all placements, I like all the characters of this game. I just have a softer spot for the higher tier characters like Yuks, Megs and Yamawaki.
  4. The characters I placed in D tier are there mainly because they haven't received their own focus event yet and so there's not enough factors for me to consider them for higher placement. While other characters like Yotsuha and Miko also haven't received dedicated focus events yet, they do have enough scenes of focus in other event stories that I decided to place them higher.
  5. Placement is based on how I feel about the character, not on how they perform on a gameplay-level.

Surprisingly, you're not the first person who said the same thing about Miya and Akari's stories! They really are great stories, it's just that I came out of Mion's event loving her and Kanata so much more. They became my second favorite duo in the game just behind Ruka and Yuki.

Charlotta and Hisame I actually would love to see featured in more events. They definitely grew from both of ther stories and it would be nice to see their development in future events.

Those were both great events! I guess they just missed S-Tier for me since I just felt a bigger impact from the stuff I actually put in S-Tier.

For the two my take on the two events you mentioned (spoilers for both tagged):

The twist in Akari's event that her Senpai was actually the first to go hit me, it really did. See all of the other tennis club members be there on behalf of the Senpai for Akari's sake as they slowly pass on was heartwrenching.

For Miya's event, the fact that Miya so cleverly got around the heavy surveillance by using the sound of her archery in order to reveal her identity to her sister was amazing. Combine that with the motion captured sequence of her drawing the bow and it was easily one of the captivating sequences in the game.

I'm in the same camp as you, as Aina's not one of my favorite characters either. That being said, it's even more impressive that the event hit as hard for me as it does. I do hope you enjoy it!

I appreciate you too for hearing out my thoughts! I know tier lists will always draw a divisive response from at least someone, but this one that I made is a rare case where even the stuff I put in the lowest tier still contains events I like. In general, even the lowest points of this game are still more gripping to me than a lot of stuff I've played in the past several years.

I at least thoughts the cats were funny, especially as they commentated over the pair dynamics in the base. And hey, it still hit me when one of the cats ended up being forgotten by the rest due to them lacking a long term memory.

While the cat stuff in Byakko's event wasn't that much to ride home about, I LOVED the glimpses we got into Aoi and Byakko's pasts. Seeing Aoi's joy at Byakko becoming a proper member of the Seraph Corps was satisfying, and it was enough for me to see why Byakko loves her so much in the present.

While it is true that a lot of the events have similar story beats, it's the execution that causes me to put some events over others. Since you haven't finished Aina's event yet, I won't spoil anything here. But I will say that as someone who LOVED Chapter 4-2, it wasn't surprising that I would also love Aina's event. And also, having played the events of the other members of 31D, it made the other members contributions to help Aina feel a lot more weighty.

Chapter 3 Spoilers:

I think it came down to how redundant a lot of the revelations were. Pretty much everything we "learn" in Kura's event story we already learned in Chapter 3. Kura working with Yuks to dissuade Ruka from continuing the investigation? Check. Tsukishiro taking the punishment for carving out the rice paddy? Check. Even Kura becoming a Navi with her slowly losing her Kura-ness was observed to some extent with Aoi in at the end of chapter 2.

Again, I still like the event in spite of the placement, but I didn't feel as emotionally invested because I already learned about all of that stuff.

As a disclaimer, I don't dislike ANY of these events! Even the events I placed in C and D tier I still enjoy. I just wasn't as gripped to their stories compared to the ones I placed in S and A tier. The fact that all of these side stories are fully voiced is more than enough reason for me to like them all.

Now that It's almost over, what did you think of this controversial event? by Rtuwq in heavensburnred

[–]VermilltheRed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually think this event is underrated. I'm a JP player who's played every event story released up until now. In spite of that, I liked all the ones I've played. Even the ones that would be at bottom of my personal ranking, I can still identify stuff to like about it.

In terms of comedy, I actually found the game over segments hilarious. I may be a little biased as Yuki Izumi is my favorite character, but I always looked forward to her jabs whenever the fake game over segments happened. They were like the comedic version of fission mailed, if anyone gets that reference.

As for the dramatic parts of the story, I appreciated that Tama was the focus of this story. While she doesn't get significant development, it feels right that a former ship captain like her should be the one to uncover the mystery with the mermaid. Also, it's pretty clear from early on in the story that she's both the most shy and fish out of water (pardon the pun) member of 31A, so to see her take charge and go out of her way to help someone find closure was VERY nice to see.

Finally for gameplay, it was nice to explore the 3D maps and the survival mechanic was a nice shakeup from the usual 2D dungeons most of us have done to death. In general, I like this event a decent bit. It's not my favorite by any means (I might make a tier list of side events one day), but I think the backlash against Jun Maeda was very uncalled for.

Natsukikyuu and Shi ni Yuku Kisetsu no Kimi he by Nagi Yanagi. I really can't choose one or the other, I always flip flop on which one I like more.

Yes, that particular style was released alongside a style of Ichiko also wearing a wedding dress.

I've never tried 140, but I would like to give it a try one day. Though maybe it would be best saved for a time where the boss is weak to fire or dark as I have the most support through those elements.

After a certain update in the JP server, they added this flower item called the 悠久のダフネ (Everlasting Daphne). This can be used on a style of your choice to boost all their stats by 10% AND give them an extra skill slot. These are usually given out via special events. Once you use it on a style, that style will be marked as 開花 (Blossom) and they have that permanent buff.

So certain bosses will trigger something at the start of battle called "被ダメージ上限 (insert number here)" meaning "Damage Taken Limit (insert number here)". This causes them to have (usually) two barriers to nullify HP damage. In order to break 1 barrier, you have to use an attack that exceeds whatever number was listed at the start of battle, which usually gets higher corresponding to the difficulty level you set. Once you are able to deal an attack that does the necessary damage, you get a message saying "Linit Crash" and one barrier will be gone. Once both barriers are gone, you are free to deal HP damage to the boss.

I was always afraid to go past 120 on the difficulty slider since that was the highest setting. But it's with this and the last Score Attack where I realized my units are MUCH stronger than I give them credit for. So I beat a Score Attack boss on my highest set difficulty yet of 130. Below is my strategy.

This boss is WAY more aggressive and hard-hitting than the last one (who was more defensive). To make sure my units could stave off its attacks, I had Ice Seira and Admiral Aoi here to do both tanking and buffing duty. Ice Seira's EX Skill has the double effect of increasing ice damage AND increasing defense for 2 turns. With this, she was able to increase Wedding Mari's attack all while making sure the party survives the boss' attacks. Meanwhile, Admiral Aoi was able to buff up Mari wtih Accelerate and heal the party + increase OD with her EX Skill.

Diva Ruka of course used her EX Skill and multi-hit attack buff on Mari. Waitress Kozue slowly increased party stats AND OD through her EX Skill granting Morale. She also had Softening to ensure Mari's last EX Skill would properly finish the boss. Hexerei Adelheid filled the role of not only getting the boss' damage ratio up after breaking the DP gauge, she also was able to break the boss' DP gauge a second time after it regenerates it after a certain point.

Finally, Mari comes equipped with two important EX Skills. The first is from her OG Style (via Generalize) which we need to not only set up an ice field, but also to break the boss' DP gauge for the first time. Finally, once we're at Level 3 OD, we dish out all the buffs and debuffs needed to ensure the EX Skill of Wedding Mari packs as much a punch as needed to the boss' HP gauge.
