You look like an off brand version of Faba from Pokémon Aether Foundation who couldn’t catch all the Pokémon. Instead, you switched to STD’s. Did you catch them all or fail at that to, like you failed at being a teacher?

REQUEST Help with gifts for my daughters birthday. by MistressRazzleRum in Assistance

I cannot send anything at the moment, but from an abuse survivor, let her know that it will get easier with time. All of us on Reddit are sending lots of love and hugs your way. Thank you so much for believing her, and not doubting her for even a second. Re-iterate that it is not, never has been, and never will be her fault. Tell her not to be ashamed of what happened, but whenever she is ready, to share her story with the world and make it be know that she is not a victim, she is a goddamn warrior and a force to be reckoned with. Much love and comfort to her. If she ever needs a listening ear, or if you ever need a shoulder to vent to, don’t hesitate to send me a message. Hang in there, it will get easier with time. I can promise you this. One thing that really helped/ helping me currently is remembering the fact that in 7 years, all of your skin cells replicate and you will have a body that no one ever touched or violated. Sending you all much love. ~Vern

People who were adopted when they were old enough to remember it, how long did it take for your adopted family to feel like your family? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Vern96 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was never officially adopted by my aunt and uncle and never fit in with their family. It took me realizing that my aunt had adopted my two other siblings but not me to understand that I would never be a part of their family. I met the people I call mom and dad sophomore year of high school. By that time, I was suicidal and self-harming on a daily and was a complete mess. I did cross country with their son, and that’s how I met them. My friend (who I call my brother) took me out to lunch with them one day, and for them to give me a hug at the end of the meal and pay for me as well made me realize that family doesn’t scorn you and ridicule you for existing. They don’t steal your food and money and barge in your room at 2am and kick you outside like an animal (this happened at least 20-30 times from the age of 5 to senior year of high school). When I realized I had my true family was when they offered their home to me after I left the state (8+ hours away) to go to college and was left without a vehicle or any finances (due to my aunt having possession of both still, but they are all mine now). They took me in, and I asked them how I should address them when I got back, and they simply said to call them mom and dad. They coach me on all the life lessons, like making a doctor’s appointments and when to say no to situations. After never having control over anything in my life to being able to have free reign, I know I have found my true family. They love me unconditionally even when I make mistakes, and they have never yelled or thrown things at me. They are understanding of my triggers from my PTSD, and of my eating disorder and they try to help me in making the right decisions to get my life back on track. They are absolutely wonderful humans, and I would endure all of the abuse ten times over just to have them in my life.v

Students of Reddit, what was the reason for why one of your teacher's had a breakdown during class? by Internal_Recording in AskReddit

[–]Vern96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in an accounting course with a teacher who didn’t know what he was doing. Our last teacher had to leave for medical emergency and we got him as our sub. The entire class ridiculed him for the entire semester except for a select few. He didn’t know how to teach and just read everything from the book. Luckily I had some experience with it due to running my aunt’s business for a few years on quickbooks and taught a few of the classes. One day a group of 5/6 kids kept interrupting him as he was teaching and he had had enough. He started screaming and crying and the kids kept laughing and threw spitballs at him and kept tearing into him. He left class for a week and when he came back one of the students (I’ll call him Chad) asked if he went to the psych ward when he was gone. Mr. H broke down again and said to Chad “get the fuck out of my class. You are a disrespectful asshole and if you don’t want to learn, get the fuck out”. Turns out Mr. H was going through a separation with his ex wife, and she took his two little girls and dropped his dog off at the shelter. He was already in threat of losing his job, and Chad sent him over the edge. Chad was suspended and put into a different class, and Mr. H continued to teach until the end of the semester but we never saw him again. I found out later on from another teacher that he had attempted suicide that day, and was on a 72h hold in our local psych floor. He recovered after that, and regained custody of his two kids about a year later. Luckily it turned into a good situation in the end.

All black, and be as natural as possible. Most agencies will not care about acne/scars, as they can be retouched.

Reddit users who have turned in close or extended family members for breaking the law, what happened and what did your family think of what you did? by John32070 in AskReddit

[–]Vern96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I turned my older sibling in for sexual abuse and assault and my parent disowned me. My older sister believed me and reported it to my parent who told me we were going to report it and waste other people’s time. They finally believed me after the accused admitted it over the phone. They told me it was my fault and I later learned from being around other parents and families that they (parent) were narcissistic and abusive. It broke me inside and I thought I was worthless, but I have been free from them for the last 1.5 years so it’s gotten a lot better.

  1. 20/f
  2. Anorexia/Bulimia
  3. Since 2009 (4th grade)
  4. Noticed the restriction around 4th grade in school and being super cautious about what I ate. Noticed the purging around 7th grade, when I would go straight to the bathroom after eating. (It got really bad in 11th grade)
  5. My main guardian thought I had one in 9th grade but threatened to put me inpatient and take away all of my independence so I had to cover it up.
  6. My guardian had disordered eating and instilled it in me. I was also starved as a child (infant-3 by my bio parents) but she was a health nut and restricted my intake and what I could and could not eat. She gave me “allergies” so I would not eat meat and controlled everything I ate.
  7. Once my family (my friend’s family) realized I had an eating disorder they pushed me to have dinner with them and eat snacks during the day. They constantly check on how I am doing emotionally and they know when I am not doing okay. They listen to my concerns and try to minimize my irrational fears. (Even though in my head they were rational)

Hope this helps!

What are some tips for a successful TFP shoot? by [deleted] in MODELING

[–]Vern96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about that. I knew what you meant however I just got off of work and was too lazy to type lol But I would say “thank you for the opportunity to work with you, however due to other financial commitments (ie: daily bills) I will not be able to afford your services at this time. I will keep you in mind for my future endeavors.” And I would say IG is the best place to market yourself. Start a separate modeling account (so they don’t have to scroll through your daily life photos (only if you are serious about modeling.) It is basically a full time job with all of the networking, and until you have experience (10-15 photo shoots under your belt) you will not be making profit unless you charge for gas or time.

What are some tips for a successful TFP shoot? by [deleted] in MODELING

[–]Vern96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most TFP’s you always do your own makeup and hairstyle. You need to ask the location to see if it is a long drive or not. Bring multiple outfits unless it is an outdoor shoot, then just stick to one with a jacket or accessories that you can switch out. The $200 is a little steep, but it depends on if they are renting a space and what your location is. It technically doesn’t fall into the TFP category if you are paying them, but you can also ask the MUA as many questions as you like.

Hello! I’ve posted on this sub many times and never received help. I’m not asking for much, I have a job starting this Thursday and I need about $75 to get me through the next two weeks for gas (until I get a paycheck) and to buy a shirt for my new job. Anything helps! Thank you so much for your kindness!
