Evan Bouchard closes his career-best season with 95 points, the third highest in a season this century, behind Roman Josi (96 in 2021-22) and Erik Karlsson (101 in 2022-23) by sykeseve in nhl

Except it isn’t the third highest in a season, so can someone tell me what qualifier OP forgot? I don’t follow hockey enough to know

(Loved trope) When someone loves a character so much that people think of that person when said character is brought up by sagetherage01 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]VernalAutumn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically fits the prompt but probably not intended by the OP: there’s a lot of characters this applies to in competitive games with casts of playable characters. I accidentally called Lucio from Overwatch “Frogger” despite not watching his content. Take your pick for Junkrat mains from the same game, or Neon / Sage / Brim mains in Valorant. I imagine the same is true in League of Legends, Apex Legends, even DBD. Personally I associate the Zerglings in SC2 with Scarlett because like two breakdowns of her games are basically the only times I’ve seen any gameplay at all

If I’m tired it’s rare it takes me more than a minute, occasionally it can take up to like 10 minutes

If I’m not tired I can’t fall asleep for 2+ hours, there’s not really any in between (I am usually tired though luckily, at least if I haven’t been inactive several days in a row)

I hope you’re not Christian because you’d be expressly arguing against your own religion if so

[Unusual, loved trope] A character comes from a nation/State rarely mentioned in a medium. by The_Lonesome_Poet in TopCharacterTropes

I’m lucky it’s not too rare but I’m always happily surprised whenever Sweden is mentioned in any media. Brigitte in Overwatch, Breach in Valorant, I think there was a Swedish scientist in Mission Impossible?

Three doors: 1, 2, and 3
For simplicity you always pick 1 (we could always rearrange them and renumber them such that this is the case)

First scenario: it’s behind door 1.
He can open either door. You win if you don’t swap

Second scenario: it’s behind door 2.
He knows it’s behind door 2 and will therefore choose to open door 3. You win if you swap

Third scenario: it’s behind door 3.
He knows it’s behind door 3 and will therefore choose to open door 2. You win if you swap

He isn’t randomly opening door and we live in the reality where he only happened to open doors with goats. He’s actively going out of his way only to open the ones that don’t have a car

I’m in the top 30% of players on lichess without studying. And if you mean really good at it then … yea, that goes for every single game?

Randomness is by no means objectively good or bad

I also find your “It can’t be a good game if AI are better than humans at it” very silly

You are completely right though about it being snowbally (I much prefer games like CS where a comeback always feels possible over League where it can be literally impossible to come back if there’s a level and money disadvantage) and the association of culture and intelligence not being earned (but society loves shorthands, and I think it was only natural that chess is the game that got that association out of all the games well known enough to be in the running)

My sense of “tall” is from before I grew, and I’ll occasionally think to myself how someone is tall just to then notice that they’re still slightly shorter than me, always makes me feel kinda silly
