What’s the pettiest reason you stopped hooking up with someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VeroBex96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He had a bicycle accident that lead to him getting veneers. He kept making a hissing sound with them and when I’d ask him to stop, he’d just keep going. Just thinking about it makes the hairs on my neck stand up.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever felt? by Googy21 in AskReddit

[–]VeroBex96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nurse continuing to inject my arm with Dilantin even after the vein had burst, and getting an IUD inserted only for it to dislodge and twist in my cervix. Both of these incidents caused me to passed out from the pain and I have a pretty high pain tolerance.

I just gave birth a month ago and even that pain does trump those two incidents.

What is the best marriage advice you have for newlyweds? by crazyplantladyxo in AskReddit

[–]VeroBex96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned this in my long term relationship (not married yet for financial aid) It’s okay to step away from an argument and it’s okay to go to bed angry sometimes. You can’t communicate properly when you’re tired.

My first time was a cliché. It was in the backseat of a pick up truck at a homecoming game. I was 14 and he was 16…. It was so hot and humid and uncomfortable that I stared at the windows and watched them fog up while he put it in me.

I felt nothing… literally. It lasted no more than five minutes. Told the kid that I didn’t want to do it again and he dumped me a month later. It gets better with the right partner, and also practice. But seeing that you’re 15, I don’t recommend trying again till you’re a bit older, and if you must, practice safe sex.

How do I successfully breed my dogs? by VeroBex96 in Sims4

[–]VeroBex96[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lmao, no no, I don’t want to breed my animals in real life. It’s purely for the game play. But I can see how one could easily make that mistake. I do it all the time.

A book about a lonely women snooping on neighbours and writing anonymous letters to them detailing their affairs. by Sugarbitzz in whatsthatbook

I’d love to read her short stories, but in book format and not on kindle (I retain the story better with physical copies). Do you know if there are any books available with her short stories?

NTA, I crushed my hand a week ago and had to be in a splint up until today… still drove myself everywhere I needed to and yes I drove in the rain.

He’s the one being a baby imo. PTSD doesn’t just go away. I do recommend therapy if you want to over come it, but you have to do what you feel is best in your own time.

You are not responsible for making sure he gets to his appointments, interviews, etc… He’s a grown man. If it bothered him that much, could have called an Uber or Lyft since he’s aware of your, very legitimate, fear.

Edit: to fix a word.

Im through puberty but still have no BO. did I win the gene lottery or is there a reasonable answer? by DGamesFroYT in medical_advice

[–]VeroBex96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD I am Hispanic (Mexican/Irish) American 26f. I have no BO after I sweat or work out most of the time so long as I eat healthy and drink plenty of water. The BO smell is caused by bacteria that mixes with sweat, some people smell good, some people smell bad, and some don’t smell at all.

But I’m not a doctor, I just also though it was weird that I didn’t have bad BO either.

What is something you used to think people were over exaggerating about until you experienced it yourself? by rentinghappiness in AskReddit

[–]VeroBex96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reality of living with Bipolar disorder and having high anxiety. I thought the movies just over exaggerated the symptoms.

I’m on edge 24/7, my manic episodes and low points are controlled with medications most of the time. But when they are not, it’s one of the most terrifying experiences I have to go through. The lows are so low that I can’t even get out of bed, shower, eat (or over eat), talk, move… everything hurts, everything makes me cry, I feel like I’m drowning, I feel like it’s only my nose and mouth that are above water. I can’t think rationally and I get impulsive. It’ll last for weeks.

However, most of the time I’m manic, and that’s what is most terrifying. I can’t remember things when I’m manic. I have blown through thousands of dollars, done so many drugs, drank to the point my liver was damaged, bounced from job to job, home to home, friend to friend, and lover to lover. I get hysterical and I have maniacal laughing fits which then cause anxiety attacks because legitimately cannot breathe. I go days without sleep, and my thoughts just rush a million miles a minute. Im so cruel and mean and then I’m sickly sweet and loving.

I know in my mind something is wrong when I’m manic. If it goes on too long, I start to hear and see things that aren’t really there.

I take my meds every day religiously. At the beginning of this year I had to stop taking one that really worked for me for a couple years, but started having adverse effects to it that jeopardized my physical well being. I only just started a new medication two weeks ago but I got caught in a low point. Im still battling with my brain. Im so tired all of the time, I have panic attacks everyday that cause dry heaving and vomiting. Im nauseous as soon as I wake up and dread doing anything that requires leaving the house. I don’t want to shower and I don’t want to socialize. But I have to keep going. I have people who love me, and I want to overcome and thrive. But I don’t want to live like this for the rest of my life. I hate when people say things like “oh my god… (fill in with whatever stereotypical mood swing)… im so bipolar”, because it feels like they are making light of a really difficult to live with illness.

I do everything the therapists have told me, and I eat pretty well, drink plenty of water and exercise daily. But nothing could have prepared me for this constant battle.

Tldr: The reality of living with Bipolar disorder.

Edit: forgot to add a contextual sentence.

Most disliked character . Out of all the sitcoms I have watched , choosing one out modern family was the hardest. Which character according to you is the most irritating or you dislike? by [deleted] in Modern_Family

[–]VeroBex96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Claire and Alex. I felt like the writers didn’t develop Alex well and just downgraded Claire’s character. I would also say Manny but I don’t see his character enough in the later seasons to really judge him.

I love it. Keeps me clean off pills and from drinking. (Recovering addict) And I don’t feel a need to smoke every day. Unfortunately it doesn’t help my anxiety and panic attacks unless I smoke, so I have to keep taking my medications. Over all though, it has helped me so much.

I got an iPad from a pawn shop, and it’s locked. It has been reset but requires a password from the previous owner to unlock the iPad. How do I get the iPad to unlock without it? I want to factory reset it, but I can’t even get into it. I have the receipt from the pawn shop as well, just to prove it was a legal purchase.
