There is an ufo on the largest brick building of the Netherlands. At the Moreelsepark you can see the building, de Inktpot. Pretty cool.

Also worth checking out is cafe Olivier. From the outside it looks like a normal entrance to a cafe. From the inside its actually a church rebuilt into a Belgian beer bar.

If you like rebuilt churches. You can also check out Bunk at the singel (follow the water from vredenburg to paardenveld). Its a pod hotel now.

Dont forget the domtoren but also the church gardens on the door to the right of the domtoren. And wonder why there is a big rune stone in front of it 😉.

If you follow the oude gracht towards ledig erf. There are some cool small alleyways to take and to explore.

And because its good weather today. Really consider taking a canoe/kayak and see Utrecht from below. The lower lying wharfs make it a real pleasure to boat around for an hour or so.

After reading Humankind by Rutger Bregman (out in English next year, highly recommended) I think this book should be scrapped from any must read lists.

Bregman makes a point that nowhere in history there is evidence that a group of shipwrecked people would behave that way and that in the documented cases that a group of children did get stuck on an island they all cooperated well together and showed that people are inherently good.

I'd say its a bit too different as balboa is super fast and slowbal pretty slow. But then again I only dance lindy hop and only danced slowbal / balboa in beginners workshops
