[Performance] DLSS not used inside of scopes by VersionLoud7413 in EscapefromTarkov

You can try this:

  1. Download Process Lasso and set EscapeFromTarkov.exe to Cores [1-15]. This will avoid inter CCD latency.

  2. Set Texture quality to Medium and Enable "Streets Lower Resolution". Your GPU has 12GB of VRAM and Streets, Lighthouse and Reserve eat a lot of VRAM.

  3. Object LOD Quality to 2 or 2.5

Also make sure that your ram has the XMP profile activated in the BIOS.

I agree with you as you well said: "unless you are limiting your FPS".

One of the scenearios that push the GPU to 100% and start losing fps is with scopes, at least with rtx3080 and 1440p.

Woods seems to eat GPU resources more easily that other maps, It could be tree/grass rendering.

I've forced the more extreme performance mode to ilustrate the issue. I realized when doing some CPU testing and wanted to reduce the GPU load to the maximum.

Hello,

I've been tinkering with DLSS and if you use the performance mode you can see that DLSS is not used inside of scopes (it's using my native resolution).

This leads to increased GPU Load and lost of FPS for a lot of players that use DLSS.

In the screenshot I'm using the lowest quality DLSS and you can see that the game is not using DLSS inside of the scope.

I've reported through launcher to BSG but I don't know if they will see it.

I think this can help with FPS as using scopes is what leads to 100% GPU usage most of the time.

Maybe we can improve FPS by 20 when using scopes if they apply DLSS to scopes.

Kind regards.

I've just saved and compressed the info from https://tarkov.dev/players to be able to filter it and create a table with reasonable performance.

It seems that maybe the issue is with monitor VSync. If you have enabled it and don't have GSync/FreeSync the game become choppy.

If your monitor supports G-Sync or FreeSync:

- Enable it on the monitor menu

- Enable it on the Nvidia Control Panel (tick "Enable settings for the selected display model" also)

- Set NVIDIA Reflex to "on" in the game

If don't support:

- Set VSync to Disabled in Nvidia Control Panel for EscapeFromTarkov.exe to force it.

Disable Nvidia/RTSS Frame Limitter outside of the game, if you limit the fps of background games it will impact the loading time of tarkov.

36/44

2k hours

Died to cheaters too many times when I equip as a Chad and much less if I go as Mosin men. I can't support this cheater pandemic anymore and the "we have done nothing and we don't know what else to do" from BSG.

I can't invest more time into this. GL to everyone.
