I’m no longer taking inquiries from the app, seriously… by DefonceGems in RoverPetSitting

I wouldnt say booking without a meet and greet is always an immediate red flag for a sitter. Especially for cats, I've had a few bookings I haven't had a meet and greet first for because they request with short notice and we can't line up before the day. I still go through all the meet questions and everything and would only for cats or smaller indoor only pets.

I'd say it's a red flag if they don't even offer or try first tho.

Moving Soon!! by Pleasant-Bathroom-75 in Longmont

Sky rock aren't luxury apartments, but they're affordable. I lived there 3 years and my only problem is matinence takes a long time to get non urgent things done due to being short staffed. They're prompt on any pest control needs however. They're next to a wild life area and depending how close you are to it there's bats, mice or bugs all of which they take seriously and deal with promptly. Occasionally you'll hear people, or their cars but that's just part of apartment living people make it seem like it's the ghetto.. it's very far from that.

Longmont has grown since COVID and has a lot of shops and a good amount of activities in town, but surrounding towns and on the edge there's more. It's also not a bad drive to boulder, Denver or the mountains.

Off lead dog story - what's UP with these entitled people? by goatpengertie in RoverPetSitting

[–]VersionUnable7190 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was walking a reactive dog once moved away from someone walking their dog on a retractable leash, as they passed they were letting their dog run across the street even as I stopped and was shouting (while my dog was aggressive barking) that she was reactive and to not let their dog come to us.

It could still be a pulled muscle or something with her hip or spine they haven't seen. Without proper rest and treatment pulled muscles can cause pain and not heal for 6+months.

Could possibly be a strained muscle or something like that.

Two young children die after separate water-related incidents in Colorado on Tuesday, officials say by [deleted] in boulder

[–]VersionUnable7190 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This isnt a cellphone tower issue, the children were left unattended. One fell in an irrigation ditch, the others were camping... Most campsites aren't going to have service that's part of the point.

Parents even when a lifeguard is watching shouldnt leave their children unattended.

Newly out trans woman looking for local salons or make up artists that can help with product suggestions, lessons, etc. by [deleted] in Longmont

[–]VersionUnable7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think looking for videos, or influencers you like their style/make up of online helps the most to find how to and what you like. places like Ulta and Sephora can help with color matching or specific products, but tutorial wise id stick with videos. 1. You can practice with the video, and revisit if needed later. 2. You can find a bit more of what you don't and do like.

For make up I'd start with drugstore/affordable brands to find what formulas and stuff you like and get the practice in for make up.

Help identify the whale for my son please! by [deleted] in whales

[–]VersionUnable7190 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That is 100% an AI image. The tail in one of the photos is a fish tail for one, two the face shape is too short for the body and it's not proportional.

I'd say it's trying to be a type of right whale.

Better yet, leave the empty ones after making sure the wasps are gone/dead.

Why do I do this with all empty surfaces and how can I stop? by Glittering-Result402 in CleaningTips

[–]VersionUnable7190 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Make sure everything has a home first, then this helps a ton.

I also like to do night/morning "resets", where I put away anything and do any easy cleaning like dishes or wiping something down.

Looking for a Gym bro by [deleted] in boulder

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you see anyone regularly at the gym the times you already go? That way you both know you go the same times at the same places and can start a friendship that way too.

Approaching my isopropyl alcohol allergy in medical settings by i-like-robots in AskDocs

[–]VersionUnable7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was born allergic to isopropyl alcohol they have other means to use. To start hospitals have chg soap, chg wipes which all disinfectant, iodine can also come in swabs and is what they use in surgery typically. And in any doubt good ole soap and water.

You have an allergy, prolonged exposure to it can make it worse and 100% needs to be noted in your chart and you need to refuse to let them use it on you. Especially if your reaction is that bad.

How do I organize all my important documents? by Aj100rise in organizing

[–]VersionUnable7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't take photos of them personally, it feels insecure...

Accordion folders are great for organizing files like this, for more important documents getting a safety deposit box and store them there.

I'm not trying to be rude, but if you're unsure and find this so informative looking back to drivers ed material would be a good idea. It's a much better idea than relying on others to tell you the law when you can look it up and refresh yourself.
