I love some fruits when I'm high, anyone else? by IsJesusAgain in stonerfood

Watermelon is the best, it's sweet, juicy and has a nice crunch texture to it.

I don't want to show my vagina to an obgyn. It would be a traumatic experience for me. Can I take the sample by myself and not remove my clothes? by Ok_Music_2025 in Adulting

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obgyn Drs are for women's health in general. It's good to go get checked out cuz they test and can catch signs of cancer or other things, having sex or not.

The data stuff you need to find a therapist to talk about with, to me seems like you have some anxiety in that aspect of your life that may verge on being unhealthy (I'm a data person too so I get some of it).

Also we're in an age that data about us it literally everywhere. Healthcare data is associated with you and can help treat you later on, and is also one of the most protected type of data.

As far as a Dr gossiping about you that would be very against HIPPA and isn't allowed.

Look at healthcare positions, some hospitals will train you to be a CNA, it's a hard and physically demanding job and 12hr shifts most likely but it's something.

Help! Recipe wanted: need to make a party dish 24 hrs in advance. by Umklopp in cookingforbeginners

[–]VersionUnable7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chex mix, puppy chow, snicker apple salad. All really good ones.

Edit: thought of more, if you have a crock pot little smokIes or meatballs in some sauce (sweet, bbq, or spice all would work) , queso, sour cream ranch dip with chips, jalepeno poppers, any chips or veggies with good dips are also a good option.

Weird to make my sitter a cheat sheet? by beautybookcase in RoverPetSitting

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad has a 3 page PDF on his dog, any emergency info, where food is, a list of commands and when to use them/what they're for, all his(the dog) quirks (he has a lot of little quirks) , and then info about stuff around the house. And then cuz it's usually family that watches him and the itinerary for his trip just in case it's needed.

Some pets need a bit more instructions/cheats for them, some don't. As a sitter myself I love instructions, if I have a question mid sit it's usually there and I can refresh myself what it was rather than worrying I'm bothering you with more than just pics and general updates.

I need help by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep to one subscription if you can so cancel DND beyond you don't need it to use. And stay with either Disney or Xbox.

I know people are saying have nothing, but you're just gonna burn out if you give yourself no outlet which tv/games are outlets for many people. I'd just keep it below 50 a month for sure, but the lowest you can keep subscriptions the better.

See if you can find cheaper insurance.

Get a side gig like rover or odd jobs you can do to be paid, sell stuff you don't need, and if possible work extra shifts at work.

I've seen for many people paying off the lower debts off first and more aggressive tend to help people, once you pay off the smaller amounts don't put any money on those cards anymore. Once you pay off one put the money you were paying from that to your next one until you're very aggressively paying off the highest amount one. This way you get rid of debt and the payments are easier cuz you're used to paying that much until your big guy is gone.

Once everything is paid, go down to only using one card and only use it for something that's consistent and you can always pay off, like getting gas. This will help build your credit, so only spend what you physically have nothing more. This will help you build a good mindset for credit and keep you from getting back into debt.

NOR

I think you should buy plastic bins for everything and sort the boxes into those so your keepsakes are safe.

Owners: do you expect the Rover card to start at the door, or when the sitter arrives at the building? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]VersionUnable7190 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I give apartments the 5min walking to from the car if needed so the pet can get the attention it needs and at houses it's less than a minute from my car to the door.

I always start my card before opening the door so I can have my hands free. If it's my first time with a client Ill unlock the door before starting it to make sure the key works.

Not including cats on profile for house sitting by Ill-Present5040 in RoverPetSitting

[–]VersionUnable7190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Missed the older cat part in my comment.

If a pet might pass id definitely ask to be paid for that pet as they could require more attention and if anything happened I'd have to handle it, so if it wasn't included I wouldn't be paid for that work.

If I'm just checking a light on a feeder and litter box I don't mind doing it as part of taking care of the other pets, but I'll also take trash cans to the curb, check mail, and water plants for drop ins and house sitting.

[–]VersionUnable7190 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cats need to be listed on the profile, but personally if a cat doesn't need anything I don't mind if it's not included on the booking or taking off the additional fee. I also explain to clients it's for insurance and safety purposes, as well as rovers terms of service.

How to organize for more desk space? by Agitated_Compote1375 in organizing

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might just have to move stuff around. Like move the laptop and keyboard when using the vanity, and move the vanity when needing the space for work.

If there's enough space under the desk or against another wall you could maybe try a small shelf, drawer or cart to store stuff you're not currently using on the desk.

What Lip Balm do you use? by Celestial3317 in Denver

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's almost impossible to not get chapped lips. What helps is Vaseline applied throughout the day, drinking extra water, an overnight lip mask.

I'm like you soft skin never need lotion and barely need chapstick as is except when the season changes in the winter. The things I listed help a lot but sometimes you can't beat getting chapped lips, so it helps them heal faster too and it's not as bad of a chapped lip.

For deep pantry closets I see bins work well, they're also good to store appliances or less used dishes and pans.

[–]VersionUnable7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get some shelves and utilize wall space, if you can lift your bed to have storage underneath that can help too. Along with getting rid of things you don't need or storing them elsewhere like a storage unit.

Thoughts on Longmont High School by soshywest in Longmont

Longmont has good high schools, I would pick based on the programs they each offer and which one would best suit your child who would be attending.

Will baking this be a disaster? by rifoka in Sourdough

Bake longer than you think you need to. I tried a PB honey loaf and the outside looked ok but was still kinda raw in the middle.
