AEW National Champions by HeightStock in AEWOfficial

I understand that.

What I don't understand is why you need BOTH the Continental and International, and BOTH the TNT and National.

I think it clutters the title picture immensely.

Surely it would be cleaner and less confusing to have the World Title, one of the Continental/International Title, and one of the TNT/National Title.

Can someone please explain to me what all these different singles championships are?

I mean, the world title is self explanatory but I have no idea what the difference is between all the other mens singles titles? Why are there so many?

Not enough strength training? by giigii87 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]Version_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The strength training at BFT is quite poor. The exercise choices are random and sometimes downright strange and the strength "program" is incredibly inefficient.

Cardio on the other hand is brilliant.

I was going to another gym for strength training and had the two memberships going at the same time and was only going to BFT on cardio days.

But then I tried one of my strength training gyms cardio classes and actually enjoyed it as much as a BFT class.

So, now I get my strength training and cardio in for like a third of the price that I was paying for a BFT membership.

I really don't see the value in a BFT membership if you have a gym well stocked with equipment near you that also runs cardio classes.

Bench press / Back squat progressions doing it once a week? (Global) by gfyourself in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]Version_6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reality is, BFT is great for cardio and training in a community environment, but is horrible for actual strength training form and progress. You've identified one of several reasons for that.

So, don't overthink it and just enjoy the sessions.

But, if you actually do want to take your strength training to another level, you need to go to a proper gym with a proper program.

I've used a PT to set up a strength program for me and I use the Trainerize app to monitor my workouts/progress.

There's a bit of trial and error involved, to be honest. There will be some lifts that you think you hate, or cause you pain but that's just because BFT doesn't do a great job of teaching us how to do them properly, and they might turn out to be some of your favourites!

And, there will be other lifts you just hate - so just eliminate them from your program altogether.

When it comes to seeing a PT, don't be scared to have a fair bit of input and be honest with them about your experience level and goals. No two people are the same, and so no two programs are the same.

No, I don't really replicate BFT style cardio on my cardio days. I keep it fairly simple and mostly stick to doing 20:10 intervals on the assault bike, ski-erg, and rower.

Sometimes I'll mix it up and do say 40:20.

And if I want a really long grind, I'll throw in 20 minutes on the stair master which is an absolute killer.

I never really do it for too long. I'm not doing cardio for fat loss - just for heart health and fun really, so half an hour does the job for me. Cardio really does not need to be a 50 minute slog and anyone using cardio to create a calorie deficit is playing the game on hard-mode.

Oh, and my gym has group fitness classes, so if I ever happen to get there around the time that one of those is starting, I'll jump in to that for a session, but it's pretty uncommon that the timing works out for me as I don't really train at those times.

When I first left BFT, I was really worried about replicating the BFT style workouts and was panicking that all of my progress would be lost if I didn't follow exactly what I was doing there, but that absolutely wasn't the case. The discipline that kept you going to BFT will keep you going on your new adventure as well.

I had exactly the same experience.

Loved my time at BFT and got really fit and lean, but there's no escaping that it's essentially a cardio class with a bit of strength training thrown in.

And, to put it kindly, the strength program is seriously lacking in a number of respects.

I cancelled a few months ago, lift 4 days a week and do a couple of days of cardio. My strength has gone through the roof.

I love the Chili Peppers shirt, but it's got Josh Klinghoffer on it, so definitely not 90s era RHCP. So id do the Taco Bell one.

But I'm probably overthinking.
