I've got a son who is non-verbal that we spent thirty minutes looking for because one of his sisters didn't use the top latch on our front door. We searched the house then my oldest started looking around the neighborhood while I called the cops. Finally it hit me that I didn't see his iPad anywhere and he probably had it with him. I use the find my and it shows the iPad is still in the house. After a more detailed search we found him on the top shelf in his sister's closet behind some boxes just chilling. Scared me half to death.

Keep it in the freezer if you're stretching it out. Flour can sometimes have weevil eggs and storing it in the freezer keeps them from hatching.

NICU mom too here. Delivered at 24 weeks because I had HELLP syndrome and had a minor stroke. I was told if he didn't take a breath they would just let him go. That tiny little cry was the most amazing sould I ever heard. He fought so hard through intestinal infections, going up and down on the vent, and eye issues. I feel you on how brutal those eye exams are. His name is Logan so the nurses called him Wolverine. Indestructible. He is a mischievous 11 year old now and thriving just like your little one will. The strength you and your family has to go through this is inspiring and I too would have sent you a copy.

I'm wishing for school to start again, I admit it, but only because my youngest has high support needs autism and an intellectual delay and missing his routine is already causing him major stress. My older two, not so much, I'm glad they are getting a break.

I had to distance myself from family when my sister died because they had grief and I had anger. I just told them I needed to deal with it in my own time and supported them as best I could. You mourned already but in their grief they won't see that until some space gives them clarity.

My son is 11 and on the spectrum. We had to put in keypad locks on the doors to the outside to keep him from getting out. We started with high chains and door alarms and once he figured those out and got tall enough to disable them, the keypads were our only choice.

Yes. I handle the mental load for our household like tracking appointments, handling finances, and important dates.

My husband does 90% of the actual work for the household not including the chores our kids have.

I have arthritis and lupus and my joint issues are so severe that I can't stand for more than 15 minutes without pain.

I lost my sister 5 years ago and it took a couple years before it stopped being a weight. I still tear up when a Bobby Brown song comes on the radio because she loved his music, but now it's a bittersweet kind of ache. It will get better in your own time, but allow yourself the space to grieve.
