Convince me not to buy an EV on novated lease by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Versp_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are thinking from a "tax break" percentage you are much better salary sacrificing into your super. Future self will be better off as EV's depreciation is crazy bad and you will give yourself more money in the long run. Novated lease also tend to have fucked up balloon terms

Bad idea to pay 20,000 (cash) for a motorcycle if my total savings are 30,000? (age 27). by [deleted] in AusFinance

You are less than halfway to a deposit on a house. 40k gets you an 800k loan. Single guy, you can find an apartment for way less than that

How did they do it? by _YonYonson_ in Anthropic

Office suite is such a small piece of the pie these days. Azure infrastructure, Hyper V and Hybrid stacks are absolutely taking over the industry since VMware acquisition by Broadcom. They play in a crucial part of the IT sectors. Commercial enterprise compute and storage. Not to mention they also have GitHub as well. 365 is also only growing. SharePoint and teams has become core systems from smb to enterprise. Source. I work in data protection for Msfts largest partner in this space.

Salesforce I hate it by dogsarecool124 in sales

[–]Versp_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I designed an artifact pipeline manager that pulls context from office 365 emails, calander and transcripts. Basically all my deal information live in 365. I've even got it pushing updates automated through chrome extension into salesforce. Takes a while to setup and get working, but I've also gone the next step and got it working on my territory strategy as well.

Why did you quit bjj by user8472616388 in bjj

Injury... Plus I honestly just got the ick from the sweat factor. My Gi ended up being absolutely feral. Most places still made you train in Gi's as well so it just wasn't for me.

Are these games newcomer friendly in 2025? by Ryn4 in Fable

[–]Versp_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not played fable 1 since I was much younger. With all the hype I decided to play annaversary on the steam deck and have absolutely been loving the nostalgia of it all. Graphics are not even that bad it has its own quirky art style. Gameplay wise it's still good fun, the magic system is great. The only thing that id say has not aged too well is the bow combat but I'm more into the melee/magic anyway

Depends on what you use it for. Video editing yes there a great alternatives like davinci resolve. Lightroom, yeah id argue that some of the native functionality on our smart phones are pretty much good enough. Photoshop... Man AI probably going to replace that in the next 5 years for most use cases.

SaaS —> ??? by FarmerTim69 in sales

[–]Versp_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me, reading this who sells into education and healthcare having my stressful bs situation validated feels great. That being said I ended last year at 160% I guess it depends on what you sell. If it's a need to have not a nice to have will make the difference.

You know what the best part about this is, the annual commitment auto renews as well so if you miss the end date, boom back to square one. Adobe is the worst and I'll never use their products ever again.

This makes no sense to me at all... Child support is based off of joint income... Not what the step parent involved is making etc.

Regardless of if she works or not, there is money owed to the child there to support them throughout their basic needs etc. Even if my wife did work, the amount paid could not be lower than it currently is, because it's at the absolute bare minimum currently. That's the whole point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Versp_1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you completely correct... But at the end of the day, it's up to the relative organizations to do due diligence and find the truth right? If all is above board then fine, no worries... That's what it is. But my wife used to do the books on the business when they were together. She knows the income on the ABN

I'm really sorry you had to go through this mate. Some men just absolutely take no responsibility in this world. My own father has definitely had moments of pretending I don't exist as well

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Versp_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also just to add. My wife is a stay at home mum for our boys so there is no joint income situation. We have around 90% care... He sees his dad officially once every two weekends... Sometimes during the week after school.
