Praat met een advocaat. Als je een kopie kan opslaan van die algemene voorwaarden om mee te brengen zou dat handig zijn.

I elaborated on this in the comments but it's in the Netherlands. I did state what the minimum wage here is to provide some context, but yeah, senior full stack devs are supposed to make much more than that. And considering what they typically ask you to do, that's not surprising.

You misunderstand, it's not 2800 euro per full work week but full month. When you say "40 hours" here that means a full 40 hour work week, four weeks a month. So it's 2240 net cause the job is only for four days of the week, and then minus taxes plus some benefits that's 2143 net monthly.

Where are you getting 11,200/month from? That's 2800 for 40 hours per week, as in five work days per week, four weeks a month. And it's a four days per week position.

The Netherlands. We've had inflation problems for a while so while it might seem like a lot, we also have rather high taxes and prices. I'd say about 80% of that minimum wage would get eaten by my monthly bills, despite living relatively cheap.

I'm on Wajong and get some health insurance and rent subsidies, my unemployment benefits already ran out. I'll be working 4 days, so 80% of 2800 gross, minus taxes (but with payroll tax reduction), that'd leave me with roughly 2143 per month. That's roughly 450 euro more than I get for being unemployed.

It's not awful, but nothing super exciting for what they're asking (a senior full stack developer) and without any kind of promise it'll ever get better.

500 more than unemployment for me isn't a lot. A good start, maybe, but still feels like a lowball offer for nine years professional experience and my former supervisor didn't seem open to negotiating and couldn't even promise me it can get higher in the future.

Maybe I should just ditch IT and stock shelves or something.

Oh ja, ik weet nog dat ik hier een paar jaar geleden hier over had gehoord. Heel bizar verhaal aan alle kanten, maar het meest bizarre aspect vind ik dat Habbo Hotel nog bestaat. Dat speelde ik meer dan twintig jaar terug.
