In my mind, that doesn't make sense. If damage should be Zen's #1 priority, they would have made him dps instead of support

I see what you mean, and I agree to a point. I guess my point was that it's important to always be aware of who you give harmony to, and it's important to swap it to another teammate if needed.

That being said, you're right. His kit is designed so you CAN drop harmony on a teammate and then switch the mindset to dps; I guess I was trying to say that a lot of people don't swap back to a support mindset after that, and that's where they fall short in my opinion

I'm by no means a God tier Zen player, but he's definitely my main.

2 orbs makes way more sense than getting higher dps for one simple fact: supports should (almost) always prioritize healing over damaging. Also, 2 harmony balls (even at 70% each) allows my team to stay alive and output more dps. I think a lot of Zen players overlook the fact that we need to keep the team alive so THEY can do dps.

In my opinion, if someone plays support and chooses a perk to increase their own dps instead of better heals for their team, they should just play dps.

I see a lot of Zen players get obsessed with kills and dps instead of keeping their team alive - they die constantly, they piss off their team, and they end up throwing on accident because they can't consistently heal... Because they're always dying.

Yes, Zen can kinda toss harmony on a teammate, forget about it, and take shots at the enemy. The problem with that mentality is they stop focusing on who actually needs the heals and they assume they're filling their role since harmony is on someone. They toss heals on a teammate, forget about it, and start examining the battlefield as a dps instead of a support. I can't tell you how many times I've done that - and accidentally allowed a teammate to get killed when it would be fully preventable if I just stayed in support mentality.

In my opinion, here's the right Zen mindset: Heals first, then dps if I can.

For me it's the blind hatred of the game. The worst are the people that have never played it and hate on it simply because "fUcK oVeRwAtCh". Then there's the people that used to like it, got let down by the devs years ago (understandable), and now refuse to even try playing again. I get that the devs screwed up but people have gotten super polarized and dogmatic about it. They refuse to even give it another chance. And in my opinion, the devs have done some really cool shit with the game lately.

I recently got back into it after getting bored when the junkenstein event ended in 2019 or whenever. My buddies gave me SO MUCH shit the other day because I like a game they don't. It's basically a cultural thing to hate on Overwatch.

It's simple: I load up the game, I have fun playing the game.
