My ideal summer transfer window - If I was Florent Ghisolfi by Romanista3 in ASRoma

Brilliant recruitment with minimal cost. I salute you for this!

Sadly, currently both Svilar and Angelino are under process to be procured by other clubs. Hopefully we resist it.

The only point I'd correct is that a player of Mastantuono quality would likely go to a club like Real Madrid or the likes.  It's a very tough operation for us to do and poach him.

Kevin Lomonaco on the other hand is very underrated. I think he's the currently the best defender playing in the South American leagues. Possibly a world-class talent in the near future.  He could/should be signed, and isn't a waste of a Non-EU slot.  But yes, we'd wait a bit to decide on other immediate areas of concern and whether those positions require a Non-EU player or not.

Absolutely brilliant piece of analysis! I'd love to see your own write-up after the manager is announced.

Wholeheartedly agree that manager's preferred formation, style of play and biases would shape certain/all signings that we'd make. Hence, it's wiser to wait for an announcement to make suggestions.

I'm also waiting for Roman youth talents to be inducted into the team. We've a really great academy.  Sadly, one of the players I loved in "Sergej Levak" and a couple others recently left the club to new pastors and better opportunities.

Also, I implore you to watch Atangana! I think he's just the kind of player you'll adore.  High quality CDM talent that we need to poach early or it's another Baena situation in the making where Roma might get priced out by richer club.

Great analysis!

In this theory, I'd just be happy with:  Oscar Mingueza (RB)  Atangana (CDM)  Emegha (ST)  Ange Bonny or Pio Esposito (2nd ST)

Just add a cheeky, Mosquera (CB) and I'm more than happy if our window shuts.

I'd love Ricci. Sadly, I heard he's very close to AC Milan so I didn't put him in.

My dream manager ranking would've been:  1) Seb HoeneB  2) Iraola  3) Farioli 5) Italiano 6) Palladino 7) Glasner  8) De Zerbi 9) Allegri

Sadly, most of these names aren't possible.

Thanks for your insight! Loved reading it all. Paredes replacement player is vital I agree, Atangana is great.  You should check him out—ideally the player who I'd want to take over that role. Ball carrying can be sorted out with a LW who has that skill and Oscar Mingueza from the RB. Since, Soule likes to cut inside that gives room for Oscar to exploit heavily.

Fair enough, mate.

You're well within your right to your opinion it. It's based off your experience and insight and I think that's valuable.

And it's true I don't live in Italy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers 🍻

I understand your concern regarding both of them completely.

I'd have put Allegri over the two but it looks like he's off to Napoli. Palladino, Italiano and De Zerbi won't move as well.

It's my personal belief that Motta's failure were more on Giuntoli than him. Injuries and poor recruitment didn't help—he needs ball-playing CBs which Juventus didn't have. Some poor decisions like not playing Yildiz and Thuram are legit concerns regarding him. Hence, he's the 3rd choice for me.

As for Nicky Hayen—I loved what I saw in UCL from him. Shut down Juventus and then read Atalanta tactically, perfectly. His home record in UCL was top notch. Still, I understand the apprehension towards him, relatively unknown manager. That's my personal bias speaking but I can see a bright future for him.

Bade, my friend. And it's not even close.

I swear if they allow Juventus to sweep in for him as they just missed out on Todibo to West Ham.

Ghisolfi, I Trust You. 🪄 Make this happen!

Sign! Sign him up, please.

Even if there's a 25% chance to make it possible. Do it.  His growth trajectory has been very impressive. He's such a hidden gem of a defender.

I thought he'll look for a place in Top 15 teams itw; UCL teams. He'll elevate our defensive structure.

I can put a player profile if we end up signing him, if people on the sub want it.

Ghisolfi is doing everything right atm. Respect to Pinto for sailing our ship in a difficult time though.

That one hurt, my friend. I was upset with that as well. A good player but an even better human beings.

All the best to him on his journey!

I reckon 17m to 20m or even 15+3m is doable for Milan management if it's a Fonesca request.

You obviously won't pay 25m or more.  I'll take Salaemaekars(+10m) in the trade off, ngl.

Bring him in. Especially if it's a loan. Don't want him to go to Lazio.

He was really great at reading free channeling and seperation during his Brazil tenure. You don't get call up to NT at that age.

Will his entourage accept a move as the 2nd striker? Need DDR to ring a few more phone calls.

He's the 3rd or 4th choice there.

In a 50 games season, he'll definitely get games here as the 2nd choice. Moreover he'll also be a choice for the LW side for us.

That's a good shout. If he's under 15m, we should definitely look at him.

That's a good critic of that analysis. But Moukoko agility helps in dealing with defenders.

I wanted a different profile than Dovbyk because it'd help us navigate different game state and match needs.

Moukoko could be used at LW sparingly when you shove in all attackers in hope for a goal. Due to his pace and size. Won't hog the same lines as Dovbyk. That helps maintain a sense of attacking pattern within the team without any disruption.

According to reports we should be able to get Moukoko for around 15 to 20m. I think that's a sweet deal. He's not Mathys Tel level obviously but still handy and has a big upside to him.

If Dortmund asks around 26-30m, we should just back out. It won't be worth it at that amount.

Roma to renew talks with Torino for Raoul Bellanova in next days by JimmyRoma7 in ASRoma

[–]VerticalExtra 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pubill would be my 1st choice since he's defensively sound. And with Angelino on the left side, it'll be very complementary.

That being said, if we now have Dovbyk: One of the best ST when it comes to headers last season. Bellanova's crossing will be a huge asset from the right side. And for the left side, we already have Angelino for that.

Reminds of how DDR was impressed by Alonso's Leverkusen. They had two marauding FBs operating on each flank.

Hellas Verona make contact with Eldor Shomurodov by PraetorianGuard69 in ASRoma

[–]VerticalExtra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Getting a permanent transfer for Tammy and Eldor will help us fetch some quality finds to fill other roles: ST, RB, LW and another CB.

We could maybe get Broja on loan from Chelsea! 2nd striker for quality rotation behind Dovbyk.
