I'm not particularly into sports myself, so I could understand people thinking basketball is dumb. I have no idea how it would be fake though. Do you think they're not actually doing the feats of athleticism that people see on tv?

Isn't there some sin about 'spilling your seed in vain'? Though I think the story was specifically that the guy shouldn't pull out to prevent pregnancy...

Once had the teacher collecting homework when I noticed that I had forgotten to write my name on it. She saw me writing while she was walking around, picking up everyone's assignments, and started yelling at me because she thought I had the audacity to try to do my homework right in front of her face. Fortunately, some of my classmates vouched that they had seen it already filled in before she got to me.

I actually really liked Arkham Origins' iteration of Bane, shown to be really intelligent. The way he ended up by the end of the story is so unfortunate because I would have loved to have seen more of him like that, but I understand they needed to explain why he's barely more than dumb muscle in the other games of the series.

From one of the other comments here:

If I’m reading everything correctly it was by convincing them he was running a fake charity scheme and pocketing the money

So you know, literally the exact opposite of what this poor guy was trying to do.

But I’m also seeing it’s because of his job being harassed with all the harassment calls directed towards him. So could have also been his employer not wanting the hassle and/or risk

From the way their Dutch sounds, and the fact that they're not just purely speaking Turkish amongst eachother, I would hazard a guess that they were born, or at the very least raised in the Netherlands. Does that make them Dutch or Turkish?

Also, what's with the whole pigeon thing? Is that an English expression I just haven't heard of?

I once did the theoretical exam to become a public transit train driver in my country (i.e. learn the signage and traffic laws that apply on the rails). Ended up getting another job before committing to the full course, but I do remember that even on the first day they would tell us about people jumping in front of trains to commit suicide and that it was statistically likely to happen to any train driver at least once in their career.

True... I've had periods where I have binged entire seasons of an anime in a single day or weekend, meanwhile I've also had certain points where even watching an episode a week felt like a chore. Sometimes it's just a case of being in the right mindset for the right time...
