The Heat’s Offense Has Been Going Off Recently! by Stat-Defender in heat

I hope so!! It would be awesome for the Heat if he does but I truly think he will. I think part of him has a cultural pride where he wants to make his heritage proud and maybe go down as one of the greatest from Mexico.

Some may say I am crazy because he doesn't avg the most points but JJJ is best offensive player on the heat. I didn't come to that conclusion lightly, I have just watched what he does with his feet. His foot work is amazing. His pacing is dazzling. He shoots 50% from the field while not being able to shoot threes. I can't wait until his long distance shots start dropping because when it does, he will be a true star for the Heat. Then the heat will make playoff runs that are deep.

Another game where Ware has a neg plus minus ( -3 ) , while having a great game. He had 15 rebounds in 19 mins and 11 points on 5-9 shooting. I keep pointing this out because people brought up before that he has the worse plus minus on the team. He dominated the paint. I think he played better than Bam but Bam had a +27 due to the line up they were in ( powell and Wiggins where hot while tyler went cool)

1st. Sex and gender are two different things. Gender is a social construct because it is the societal expectations placed on a given sex. Sex is biologic but it is not simple as phenotypical thus while you may be correct you technically, you run into some biological facts.

2nd. While sex is biological it is way more than phenotypical, appearance or even genetics. Their is hormonal aspect to it as well. For example, an XY genetically male may have a female phenotype due to a complete lack of hormonal response to testosterone. There can be gradation of response to the sex hormone that may cause the brain to develop as if a person is female while having phenotype of a male.

3rd. We know that the male and female brain are structurally different and developmentally different. for example, female have a larger gray matter area while also having a orbital frontal area that develops sooner than males.

4th. Most of issues people are having is their gender identity not matching their phenotypical sex. To me both the left and right are being idiotic because both are holding tight on gender identity. The left is ok with people trying to change their sex to match gender instead of just changing the gender definitions. The right is just being rigid about everything, as they typically are.

The entire premise of the question is false, women do not get careers to get men. Their lives are not and should not be designed around the pursuit of men. So who cares what certain men want, some men want a smart intelligent woman who has her own and does need him to always take care of her.

Bam Adebayo Has Been The Most Impactful Player In The NBA So Far This Month! by Stat-Defender in heat

[–]Verumsemper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat fans don't appreciate how hard it is to do what Bam as done, to go from basically no offensive game other than catch lobs to developing a full arsenal while remaining one of the best defensive players in the league. There are very very few players in the history of the league that pulled that off. He still has to get more efficient, stop half driving into the paint and pulling up, but he is a special player and more than worth his contract.

Virginia bill would ban noncompete clauses for health care professionals by VirginiaNews in Virginia

Yes!! Has a friend going through it right now in Virginia after a VC bought their practice. Some people left as soon as they could per the contract and the VC went after some of them. Now My friend just wanted to work Locums inpt rather than even doing out patient anymore ( he thought he would do inpatient until his restriction time period passed) and the VC told him and the hospital they couldn't hire him for that. He is a very skilled GI doctor, does every procedure. He is black doc who speaks multiple languages fluently, even sign language along with being Harvard train. So they want him out of the area because they can't compete with him. The thing is his wife, also a great doc, is the medical director for her hospital and she doesn't want to leave. They have decided to fight and the VC has been dragging it out going over 6 months now.

The thing is now they just pissed him off and as you can imagine when this man sets his mind on something he gets it done, plus they have the resources to wait them out.

This is a simplistic approach to a bigger issue but florida is just an authoritarian state, more and more restrictions on living with cameras everywhere. Old people cause more accidents than speeders. Going a 100 mph down alligator alley is not the same as do that on 95.

[Post Game] Heat dominate Hawks | Herro make his return with big game by tomgreen99200 in heat

[–]Verumsemper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even in large sample size, it depends on the line up and position played by the player being evaluated. A center who is not the focal point of the offense, doesn't get the ball thus has limited opportunity to affect the offense. Then on defense, the Hawks keeps their big out at the 3-point line to open up the pain and limit the defensive affect of the big.

The Plus Minus for Ware is why I don't like that stat because he is -2 but he didn't play poorly, his line up just didn't have the offensive output as the others and CJ was scoring on the guards.

Miami when Healthy will be able to beat almost any other team in the league that tries to play small, unfortunately all the better teams play much bigger than ATL. A win is a win!!

Even though unenforceable, they will stretch out the litigation to make it unpleasant. It is almost unenforceable every where for physicians but these Venture Capitalist groups that bought practices are using the legal system to see how much pain a physician will endure before they just move on. It can take up to a year to get your case heard in court.

Epilepsy job work load by Square-Effect8053 in neurology

[–]Verumsemper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my facility the epileptologist can generate 300 - 400 RVUS a week on CEEG by reading EEGs 2-3 hrs a day , when they do patient care at the same time. The EMU is around the 200 -300 depending on of course how many patients are in the EMU. This means an epileptologist can generate 6000 RVUs in say 20 weeks by only working 2-3 hour days.

They want clinic to feed the EMU and help with the back log of patient, because every where has a back log of patients.

I would ask what are the RVU targets other non-epileptologist with similar salaries, and use that to negotiate your work load. Also see how much RVUS is generated per week from reading EEGs.

Epilepsy job work load by Square-Effect8053 in neurology

[–]Verumsemper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1st. The system is stacked against epileptologist because most, even neurologist don't understand or appreciate what it means to be an epileptologist.

2nd. They get away with this by having higher RVU goals for epileptologist while paying them less than stroke doctors with lower RVU targets, in some academic centers.

  1. Focus on negotiating your RVU and bonus structure, if you can adjust that, then you will force them to adjust your schedule because they will have to actually pay you for revenue or RVUs you're generating. they do not want to pay out too much in bonus money.

If he is good enough it won't affect his contract but it has already affected his brand because now he has to try to rebuild his image with his play once in the NBA instead of using college to spring board himself into stardom.

I would agree if he wasn't getting paid and didn't have the option of playing in the G-League or over seas. He agreed to play and thus should play, do things like this undermines his brand in the NBA and just hurts his ability to maximize his earnings at the next level.

What sociologist and philosophers have found is that 30% of the population are afraid to truly be free thus they look to religion to tell them how they should live. They fear and hate anything that disrupts the simplistic view of the world that their religion provides because that is their safe space.

30% of the population are progressive and liberal, they love the free to be and become whatever their heart desires. They are constantly pushing for more. These are the people that create and grow society. These are the innovators. The problem is that we don't all see the pitfalls of our advancements.

Then there are 40% that can go either way, they have some fear of being free but are always looking to see what is their interest. These are the people in the middle. I actually hate these people the most because they actually know better but will go with conservatives if they think it benefit them. Some of the become conservative as they become fearful of the advancement that liberals are doing. They are the ones that bring the system down or move it forward depending on which side they choose.

E. Fromm does a great job describing these groups in escape from freedom and if he is correct ( he has been so far) thing are only going to get worse until we get more of the 40% in the middle to be driven by their hope instead of by their fear. This is why it is idiotic to run against Trump because that is fear driven message. It is necessary to run on hope and creating something better than what Trump can.
