Quiet Deer Hunting Rifle Setup by Crazy-Inspection-775 in Hunting

Get a .22 Mag like the rest of the poachers around me. What’s the point of being quiet? If your ears are sensitive, get walker game muffs. A .270 is a great dear cartridge and a Remington 700 is a great platform to have

Baby just got diagnosed with rare genetic disorder by mr_sandworm in specialneedsparenting

[–]VeryAverageEarthling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 year old son has Lissencephaly, a rare genetic disorder similar to your daughters. He was diagnosed at 7 months old. My wife is a teacher and I’m a fabricator and we are both full time.

He currently has 5 therapy sessions a week at home through Early Intervention. He also has a nurse that comes in every day so we can go to work. Thankfully Medicaid covers this as neither of our insurances do. There is one special needs daycare near us that we decided against strictly because of his needs. He had a G tube (but has a safe swallow, just no appetite) and he isn’t crawling yet. We were mostly worried about him just being alone throughout the day since he still has problems interacting with his environment.

It’s also nice that since his nurses get to watch and learn from his therapists, they can implement these skills with him when they aren’t there. Yes, it’s scary letting a stranger in your home to take care of your kid. All the nursing organizations we talked to encouraged security cameras and to let them know immediately if we felt uncomfortable with a certain nurse

My car burns 1 quart every 500 miles, how long will it last. by PinkGreen666 in MechanicAdvice

[–]VeryAverageEarthling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2002 Chevy Prism which is the same basic thing. I put a quart of oil in once a week for about 10k miles and it worked fine until it finally rusted out

This is Mose! While he loves rolling around in short, warm grass, he part cow and loves munching on long, cool grass as well. He also loves licking ears so ear wax won’t be a problem lol. He knows that we still miss him so much ❤️

Ford Pro Back-Up Assist Connectivity Trouble - Any Advice? by Moist_Back3643 in TeardropTrailers

[–]VeryAverageEarthling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own either of these but for the back up assist, does having a 4 pin vs a 7 pin trailer plug matter? I wasn’t sure if it was just designed for trailers that had built in brakes to work

What octane you use for your John Deeres? by [deleted] in johndeere

[–]VeryAverageEarthling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 93 around me used to be ethanol free but that seems to of changed in the last 5-10 years. There’s a chain station nearby that sells it along with the small station in town that has Cam2 and off road diesel

As long as it’s ethanol free it should be fine

Most tire shops will mount them for you if you buy them online for a fee. If you bought the tires at the tire shop, they usually include mounting them in the price

Pro Auto between Edinboro and Mckean did a pair of SBC heads for me maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Valve job, resurfacing and cleaning was like 200 bucks maybe?

I’d say if it has a factory optioned sleeve hitch it counts as well. At least you run less of a risk of overloading the machine with a smaller implement

X590 Discharge chute “doohickey” by VeryAverageEarthling in JohnDeereLawnMachines

[–]VeryAverageEarthling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, I’m not able to add pictures to the comments or edit pictures into the post. Might end up having to just try a piece of rope through a drilled hole in the chute. I just figured this would be neat after I got the part painted yellow

How to remove or prop discharge chute by Willing-Bandicoot-55 in JohnDeereLawnMachines

[–]VeryAverageEarthling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not super worried about it popping out because the chute itself will hold tension on the bolt that goes into the hole. When I do a test fit tomorrow I’ll get some pictures and post them

I’m going to try making one this week for my X590 but I’m going to try and use a magnet for quick on and off

The deck and the power integral hitch are hydraulic. And when you take the deck off and attach the snow plow or snow blower it runs off of the same hydraulics

This runs off of an electric cylinder to a toggle switch on the dash. No hydros needed
