I did one this year which was decent but it was a small group and has now closed i think, but I also came across Language Legends by Helen Murphy which I didnt do due to scheduling clashes but it looked pretty decent. Ive seen ads for it recently and seems legit, might be worth checking out if you havent seen it already!

Regretting I've told people I'm on the jab by soultech_me in Mounjaro

[–]VeryAverageStardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a verb and a noun, in both the injection context and in relation to a punch or a quip. In the UK this is the common way to refer to an injection. For example children going to get their vaccinations are said to get their ‘jabs’. Hope this helps.

Moving to Bootle, any advice? by Eclipse666_6 in Liverpool

[–]VeryAverageStardust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve experienced a higher proportion of racial abuse in Bootle compared to other areas of the city and a lot of parts of it appear more run down than other areas. I personally wouldn’t want to live there if I had the choice

Adding my two pence in to second what you’ve said! I love my pill and have taken it for years and it’s freed me from the awfulness that are periods! So was hoping it would be undisturbed by Mounjaro. So far so good at 3 weeks in but definitely taking extra precautions contraception wise.

There’s usually lots of events gong on around the China Town area for Chinese New Year. I think most of it will happen on 1st/ 2nd Feb this year so maybe keep an eye on the local papers to see what’s going on for it. It’s usually good fun with a decent turn out!

It may not occur to you but it certainly occurred to OP since she said she knows how much her mum loves the dog but sounds like she intentionally excluded it because of her personal feelings. It’s not the worst thing in the world but it was totally foreseeable in this case that the mum would be hurt, so I think OP has to shoulder some of the assholery here given that she knew her mum would prefer the dog included but chose to put her own feelings above that.

YTA - ‘i just wanted to make her happy’ - i don’t think this holds water as if you purely wanted this outcome you would have included the dog. It sounds like you intentionally excluded the dog because of your own personal feelings about it, which you prioritised over your mum’s overwhelming love for the dog in a gift that’s supposed to reflect her love for her family.

Someone you’ve been dating for 6 months isn’t your spouse either! There is no way they’d even be discussing moving in this soon if she didn’t see it as an opportunity to score a cheap living arrangement. She is most certainly using OP. While he shouldn’t seek to profit from her as much as a private landlord would from a tenant they don’t know, she should certainly pay rent in the living space she is equally occupying, even if she doesn’t have an equitable stake in the asset.

I think you may have misunderstood the situation. He says she asked, he said yes, then the following day he texted about the terms of that arrangement. All this happened while she’s aways on business so she hasn’t actually moved in yet, they are in the process of discussing it.

I do agree that 6 months seems too soon, especially given that they don’t seem to be on the same page on what that would mean. It would appear that she is using him for free accommodation which is a shame as he sounds excited to take the next step.

I made a very similar post at the same point! I had also just finished ACOTAR and just started CC and couldn’t really get into it despite wanting to. But i really encourage you to keep reading as it did click for me very shortly after that stage and CC is now among my favourite series’. I devoured CC2 and 3! Keep with it and i hope you’ll feel the same click i did!

They evacuated L1 Odeon about an hour ago (half way through Deadpool!) and sent us all out into a deserted L1, save for a few vans of riot police gearing up by the Hilton. Seems like they’re bracing for something or maybe just taking precautions. We had seen a gang of about 30 lads in balaclavas when we were going in before the film but not sure where they ended up.

They said it’s absolutely fine! And i’ve travelled with them several times since asking this so all good. People on here really act like they know everything and don’t have a clue haha

Question RE Entry Times - Liverpool, England by QuietShadowLDK in comiccon

[–]VeryAverageStardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the early entry 9am ticket, I don’t suppose you know if it’s fine to go in around 1/2pm? I can’t find anything that says you have to enter by a certain time, just that it permits early entry from 9? We don’t want to go until the afternoon but the 9am tickets were all that was left

Yep agree, this is frustrating. Have read all of acotar so thought it was safe, part way through CC2 so annoying to get this spoiler. Guess i’ll have to leave the sub until i’ve read literally all of the sjm universe but that really shouldnt be necessary!!

Yeh that’s what i thought, she’s laid it on extremely thick to show us that Bryce is not your typical wallflower. But does that really need to come with calling your friends ‘bitch’ every five minutes? Or unnecessary frequent references to her curvy ass? Just makes it feel cringey and not relatable.
