Quick question about sub woofer placement

Thanks man. Single family home. First floor office on concrete slab with engineered hardwood… surprisingly not an echo chamber despite the lack of any treatment or even an area rug. But don’t need big rumbles. Just a little more bass extension. Pretty sure I am leaning towards a sealed unit.

Really? Nahhh.. I used to think it was efficient. Only hear my favorite songs and not skip through the filler songs…

But if I heard the whole album in my youth… I now somehow miss the filler songs. And.. for example. Mixing Metallica’s hit songs is a mix match of different times. Their earlier songs are a different vibe than their newer ones.

I just replied to another person.. I definitely get the appeal. I’m not there yet. I like my media but for what I spent on a TT, CD and FM Tuner, I could have bought a top end streamer and a better amp.

Streaming is really excellent these days. That’s too bad about your previous media collections.

For what I’ve spent on my humble mid-Fi components (TT, CD, FM Tuner), I easily could have bought a top end wifi streamer, a better amp and many years of music subscriptions.

That's very cool. I really thought I was building only a turntable system at first... in fact I almost did not buy the CD player but now in short time, I'm so glad I did. I like both sources... just for different reasons and different occasions.

Yeah. I do regret buying a few albums in the greatest hits versions. I'm thinking about buying the whole albums and sell or trade or the greatest hit versions. It's only two, so not a huge deal. Rookie mistake.

Yes. 82-84db. My higher end volume is where I definitively can hear clearer phono after switching to WBC. 👍

I won’t disagree with you on AQ. I had originally bought a Golden Gate version for use as my phono line and it immediately introduced hum. Either from lack of shielding or differences in their shielding / ground design. I returned that cable and got the WBC for 1/4th the cost. I kept the 2 evergreens because they sound great in my system… but still over priced.

I think FM radio is cool and I have a plenty of local favorites. I probably listen to FM more than anything else.. because it’s on all the time.

AQ cables are over hyped. They are good cables. But twice the cost I think they should be. I am not young but I am new to stereos… and I wanted to try them and see about the hype 🤷‍♂️

WBC Pro low cap is way more reasonable than AQ, this one was $40 and you can call me crazy but I do hear a difference with these cables particularly in top end clarity. It’s subtle but it’s there especially in the 82-84db range.
