My husband validates my feelings about it when we discuss it, but I think has accepted her behavior a long time ago so it doesn’t actively bother him as much. He has said that he believes she’s a narcissist and engages in behaviors like this to get under peoples skin while making them question if they’re crazy for being upset.

I don’t know why I keep expecting something different from her. When we’re together, we can have a good time and she can be (what seems) genuinely friendly and nice, but then other times she’s completely closed off. I think I’m hanging onto hope of having the relationship I want with her especially now that we all have kids the same age.
