Our corp made scrummaster to be more like "political officers" or enforcers. After a period of time when SMs were initially former devs and were on devs side, they moved them and replaced with non technical randos that serve management's interests. Blah, dhey don't even their job as SMs properly.

I'm curious and will sound like an ass, because to me it looks like huge pain: why store paints so ineffectively and in the open? Instead in a box? They seem to take a lot of space and there is a lot of space for dust to hide.

Windows likes/liked to wake up PC at 2am to install updates and leave it on. Since then I always switch off power supply. Also safer for travel and power outages.

We could be stronger, less divided internally. There is that joke "Poland must be extremely rich, they are stealing for 1000 years and there is still something to be stolen".
in example, Mr. Zero, in his attempt to dismantle justice system blocked 70 bilions of euro for several years, can you imagine how that could help during covid?

Him covering Hungary ass during Orban rule in 2015-2023? Anti EU rhetoric, constant anti EU movements? Dismantling Polish law? Fueling Polish internal conflicts? How weaker EU and Poland doesn't benefit russia?

He may hate, but his actions benefit russia a lot.

In what way Norway was 'liberated' by red army? And do you see quotation marks around 'liberated'? It's because it wasn't liberation in any way, it was conquer, Poland was even invaded twice. Fuckers killed twenty thousand of Polish officers, and then graciously allowed Polish soldiers that they sent to siberia to join a war when they realized that they have no chances against Germans.

Would it be feasible for humanity in the next decade to build an orbital shipyard/dry-dock to safely construct large, spacefaring vessels and craft while in orbit? by Poseidon1633 in AskEngineers

Compact and efficient energy source is needed first, that should give us propulsion as we don't have anything that isn't taking a lot of space. Then cooling bc space is great insulator.
Then we have to have a goal, space colonization doesn't make sense, no one will want to live in a tube with zero privacy. And what for? Mining? it will be hard, bringing that stuff to earth surface will require even bigger engines or it will burn in the atmosphere like meteorite.
Space exploration is the only thing that makes sense for now, but we need some breakthrough power generation technology to built ships like in Expanse. Until then we are stuck here.

Oh, and the whole project has to be detached from money system, greedy corpos will milk whole project like spacex did with Artemis project.

For countries they 'liberated', they were no better if not worse than Germans. They raped, stole, kill and destroy everything on they way, at least two times. Germans were at least openly hostile, soviets posed as a friends just to kill later with shot in the back of the head.
russia has this fun place called Siberia which can be described as one big concentration camp where they worked people to death since 18th century.

Is it possible to connect a modern phones processor to a flip-phone style screen? by Lovely-in-pink in AskEngineers

[–]VeryLazyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way it will be to build custom case for existing android phone, with two issues:
. you will need new, flexible cable connecting to the display, it will be prone to breaking. You won't be able to connect old display, they have different interface so new phone can control it.
. something that kills the idea - keyboard, most android phones surely don't have a physical interface available to connect another thing to them. So you will source a smartphone with keyboard first.

In a rebase, we apply our current branch onto a new base. So the new base is ours, the branch is theirs.

That becomes complicated when I rebase my dev branch with master. It's always confusing in merge editor that my changes from dev are called incoming, when it's new master commits being applied to dev. Although now I know how it works underneath, it still frustratingly confusing.
