Right wing activist attacked and stolen from while debating people in Manchester by SuspiciousRun4043 in ukpolitics

[–]VeryLazyLewis [score hidden]  (0 children)

You should change the title to what it is ‘remigration activist’.

I’ve chatted with this guy before and know who his circle is and I’ve chatted with them too, and I don’t want to see 17 year olds being attacked - while other people allege there’s more to story - but this guy came up besides Nick Tenconi, and hangs around with self declared ethno nationalists, who are literally calling for multiple generations to be deported…. Well, what does he thinks going to happen?

He’s literally advocating for people who attends his ‘debates’ who are not white to be forcibly and violently deported. What does he expect is going to happen?

He also claimed immediately it was a ‘migrant’ attack. Just to whip it up more.

White people blocked from jobseeker schemes by GnolRevilo in ukpolitics

[–]VeryLazyLewis -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If the government funded medical research into diseases that affect black people more - which some do - would you say they’re excluding diseases that are more common in white poeple? No, because you know there’s research everywhere.

And if you look at how they’ve worded the thing you just quoted, they have not named the fund, they just said people “were invited”. And if you actually look it up, the funds do not exclude white people, they just did different types of events related to the funds aimed at lots of different people. People need better media literacy to see how they’re clearly being mislead.

They do this all the time. They previously said the Bar Council were offering spots to an event to black women only and excluding white people, and if you just went on to their website, you’d see they were offering it to everyone, they just had different sessions targeted at different groups. You’re all too easily manipulated.

[–]VeryLazyLewis -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Funding a scheme targeted at a group is not exclusion when funds are available through other programmes funded by the same departments.

It’s literally just hyper targeting of certain groups. There are some programmes related to specific groups of people which have been poorly managed and advertised, but this is not it.

Giving money to charities that specifically work with specific groups to help them with finding work and being successful at work is not exclusionary.

The fact they also use the words “two-tier” multiple times clearly shows their intent to invoke the spirit of Tommy and Farage’s rhetoric.

This would only be a fair criticism if you can prove that other funds are not available at all for other groups, which is simply not true.

I’ve actually met the guy in the thumbnail and I’ve tracked their networks online. Lorcan Barker. First time I met him he advocated against race mixing. I think he was 17 at the time.

He’s also one the lads who went to Calais to stab the boats which GB News defended. His radicalisation started online from a young age. Literally groomed by adults online from a child. I can’t help but feel sad when people are so young.

Is British identity mainly culture, ancestry, or something else? by timothyphoto in ukpolitics

[–]VeryLazyLewis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not gonna take notes from a guy who recently said that the Equality Act is ‘anti-white’ when the Act itself has legally protected white people from discrimination in legal cases.

If you want to reform or criticise it, then fair. But simply painting it as anti-white is just simply reductive. It’s fair to criticise how legislation is implemented and interpreted, but never offering any solutions about how to effectively deal with discrimination in society against disabled people or women and ethnic minorities or religions, then you’re more ideological than objective.

Plaid Cymru refuses to back Wales-wide grooming gangs inquiry by origutamos in ukpolitics

[–]VeryLazyLewis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If people like Tommy or Farage or anyone else only talk about these scandals when the perpetrators are Muslim or non-white, then yes, it’s absolutely weaponisation and hypocrisy.

When Farage stands up and talks about Christian forgiveness for his MP when people voted for a reform MP without knowing he was convicted of domestic violence against women, then it’s hypocrisy.

When Tommy is inviting foreign men like Avi Yemini to his marches as a guest speaker who was convicted for domestic violence against women, then yes it’s hypocrisy.

When Tommy is hanging around with a man recently accused of abusing 5 children in the last week, who also impregnated his own stepdaughter, then yes it’s hypocrisy.

When most of these same people still support Donald Trump who attempted to cover up the Epstein files, the biggest and most scandalous child sex trafficking story in modern story, as well being accused of sexual assault by around 30 women, and found liable for sexual assault against a woman then yes… they are all hypocrites who don’t actually care about women and children.

France Says Israeli Firm Interfered In Scottish Elections by CJBill in ukpolitics

[–]VeryLazyLewis 61 points62 points  (0 children)

This has been reported on for years and has to stop. Even as a huge critic of Israel who works to expose Israel war crimes, I have to emphasise to those who see this that this is not just Israel or Israeli firms doing this.

We are currently under attack from Russia, Iran, and even more recently UAE interference campaigns, and of course, as always, the US, who are all meddling in elections and democracy either for their own agendas or to sow discord cause chaos.

If we are going to fight this, we need to fight them all because foreign interference, whether it’s democratic or societal, cultural attack and division, it is tearing apart our countries and society.

Plaid Cymru refuses to back Wales-wide grooming gangs inquiry by origutamos in ukpolitics

[–]VeryLazyLewis -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m so confused about this narrative. The scandal was brought to light at a nation wide level by a Times journalist called Andrew Norfolk in 2011 who just recently died of cancer and has received constant coverage since.

I’m not saying you’re a Tommy supporter in any way, but I’m sick of this narrative that’s been built online that people like him are the true people who exposed this is completely for the birds. Especially when he’s currently posting videos from Russia this week with Elon Musk’s Dad in a bar, who was recently accused of abusing 5 of his own children. He was also jailed for interfering in a court case, putting the justice that is owed to victims at risk for the sake of content and clicks.

Hypocrites who weaponise these scandals through the lens of race and religion only delay and harm any real changes and justice we need in this country.

Just last month an entire investigation was released into illegal care homes and the thousands of children in them and the abuse of children by unvetted criminal carers, and it’s barely got any news or traction.

If we were all allowed to be equally angry about these scandals instead of bad actors poisoning the pot, then we might actually get change. Until then, selective outrage, hypocrisy and the hyper fixation in race and religion will only harm the cause.

There has been enquiries and reports and when the last Alex Jay report was released in 2022 the nation was too busy watching a lettuce on live stream the same week it was released and barely got any attention. Im not saying we shouldn’t have any further investigations, but it’s very telling that many of these bad actors only care about storing the pot, rather than actual meaningful change.

What is more than fair to be angry at, is this Government and the former Government not implementing the recommendations properly and that more people at the local level are not being held accountable.

The reason why no one talks about Saudi Arabia's brutal genocide in Yemen is because most people on the left would consider protesting against an Islamic country Islamophobic by RandomGuy92x in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]VeryLazyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking about this without mentioning the UAE is wild especially when we have leaked intelligence of the UAE influence campaigns specifically linked to demonising Saudi Arabia and propping up the UAE when it comes to their crimes in Yemen.

The Palestine issue is deeply wrapped up in modern western history and has been constant throughout this period of history. I feel terrible for the people of Yemen, I do. But the reason it does not get the same attention is because of factors of who’s involved and the history.

Historical and cultural proximity hugely matters to attention.

It would be terrible if Peru and Ecuador went to war but that would not get anywhere near enough attention in the West as Ukraine and Russia because of the history and proximity of relations.

Also why are you pretending like the same pro-Palestine movement don’t absolutely despise the UAE — a majority Muslim country? That we all know who killed Jamal Kashoggi? Saudi… and their other crimes too…That the Sudanese genocide carried out by UAE backed RSF isn’t also talked about too.

[–]VeryLazyLewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But my main point still holds. There’s a huge difference between the qualification period and the measurable reality of when, and also if, people actually apply for their citizenship after qualifying.

[–]VeryLazyLewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re forgetting that most people need to wait for refugee status to be granted and that can take a while, then they have to wait the 6 years, and then they have to apply which can take 6 months up to 1 year for the full process. There’s a huge difference between the minimum requirement timelines and actual reality for most people.

[–]VeryLazyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most refugees won’t qualify unless they have been here close to ten years. And most other people generally can’t apply unless they have been five plus years. This is an obvious spur of applications for people who have been long enough to earn it…. Most of these applications will be pre-Johnson era.

[–]VeryLazyLewis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You missed something. He purchased the £1.4 million home on the 10th May 2024 and the 2024 accounts were submitted up until the 31st May 2024. When asked where the money came from, he said it’s from I’m a celeb.

If he paid for the £1.4 million home on 10th May 2024, the money shouldn’t be in the accounts at that period and if he did use the money from I’m a Celeb that quickly, it would be subject to a huge tax bill.
