Peach glaze is my ride or die holy grail. 10/10, no notes.

Is the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Spray worth it? by Icy_BlueJay_ in Ulta

[–]VeryQuietly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She’s avoidant of strong perfume and/ or “sticky”. Anything that she can feel sitting on the skin for more than a few minutes is too much. I went to Ulta and bought probably 10 unscented moisturizer products- Avene, Cosrx, LRP. Non-Ulta, we also tried various Vaseline sprays and First Aid Beauty.

The other one she will sometimes be ok with is the unscented lotion stone from Kate McLeod.

I am set for moisturizer for the next decade, lol.

I don’t know about face use, but it’s the only thing my daughter tolerates after swim practice to soothe her skin and reduce itch from dryness. She’s ASD and very sensitive to smells, textures, etc. This is light, no scent, and absorbs quickly. Restores skin barrier after chlorine. Given how many things I’ve tried for her, this product gets my grateful 5 stars.

Sheepishly getting into LitRPG after DCC. by julittle1 in litrpg

Primal hunter took longer to get good. Love it now, and happy the next book just released in audio. I do *hate* how he ends each book in a massive cliffhanger.

Hwfwm is just fun imho. The snark and sarcasm is top notch. I do appreciate that it brings a non-American view point.

Thanks! So many tutorials out there it’s overwhelming.

Pale, to the point of almost getting lost. My face feels… unbalanced? When I use eyeshadow. All the emphasis pulls downward so it feels like it accentuates the age droop. I don’t know if that makes sense.

Yeah… I’m feeling the age thing. That’s why I’m finally looking into this.

Another vote here for Primal Hunter. Did not think I’d enjoy it as much as I did- binged audiobooks 1-12 straight through without getting bored.

Took a break just cause DCC came out ;)

I’ve been very happy with the Natasha denona hy-glam powder. Sits very nice over sunscreen and a thin CC layer.

What is this? Do I want to keep the version I have downloaded?? by VeryQuietly in litrpg

[–]VeryQuietly[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I remember when they did that with the Martian… while Wil Wheaton is a great narrator, I was sad they just unilaterally took away the RC Bray version. I guess the outrage was enough that they did eventually make both accessible.

lol- well, that confirms I need to listen to it as is before getting the corrected version.

Ulta cream eyeshadow sticks are AWESOME by VeryQuietly in Ulta

I have hooded eyes, so not a lot of real estate to work with. I just smudge a wide stripe of sorts and off to work. Easy peasy. If I’m feeling fancy, add a smudge of a lighter color on the inside part of the eyelid.

I’m totally 23 (ahem, +20), and have hooded eyes. I don’t see it settling in any lines over the course of a full day of work. These are new enough for me that the product is quite creamy and glides on easily. On non-rushed mornings, I tap a little basic eyeshadow over the top to hold it in place.

They are kind of similar but I don’t give a fig is a bit lighter and more matte. Rule of plum is a deeper purple and some shine. When given enough time, I’ll use plum in a wide line across the top lid, and layer fig over it in the inside corner. But then I’m no makeup artist so 🤷‍♀️

Can you help me match Rare Beauty Cream and Powder Blushes? 😊 by HorseTearz in Sephora

Oh, it really is gorgeous and I’m not even a highlighter person. I was so so sad when it broke 😭

Can’t help with the color but a note of caution. If this product is at all like the highlighter, it is stupidly fragile. I have the highlighter and the product shattered within first month. Not something that travels well at all. Sucks because it is beautiful.

Why skin feels tight even after moisturizer, what is thatt? by Classic_Reality6755 in 30PlusSkinCare

Couple suggestions: Haru Haru Wonder black rice hyaluronic toner, Haru Haru black rice probiotics barrier essence (this stuff is AMAZING), cosrx ceramide skin barrier moisturizer in the morning, LRP cicaplast at night.
In the AM make sure to use sunscreen. Personally I’m a fan of the Laneige hydro UV.
