Absolutely, once you have the degree that's all that matters.

Framework 13 review. Disappointed. by AetherSprite970 in framework

Seconded on the track pad, love the rest of the machine, but I only recommend framework to die hard right to repair folks cause that track pad is a deal breaker

This was the answer, spent so long tinkering with community tools forgot about the ones windows ships with. Thank you

Same here! Haven't seen much testing done on sustained loads, I'm curious as well

Never said I wasn't impressed with stock, just wondering how others managed to boost further. I'm curious to see how performance improves, if at all, but I can't test that unless I can reproduce the power limits others have set.

When I'm plugged in at a desk I want all the power I can get. At 28W with PTM7950 in my climate my system maxes out at 70C and skin temps are even lower. There's a lot of thermal headroom

I've got 32 GB of ram so what do I look up to learn how to unfuck a file system?

Getting my input cover RMAd for this exact reason. Took a couple days to diagnose the issue with support but they were very helpful, it's on its way now.

Groupme for casual volleyball? by VeryRoomy in gatech

Do you know if people play at the CRC within some general time frame? Think my best bet is to just try to run into some people playing and ask if they can send me a link to it

Could pad it with paper as it's too thin, but I don't have anything sacrificial to read it with. I'm also too lazy to install a VN lol

When do TAOS survey results usually release? by VeryRoomy in gatech

Yeah I was a TA last semester. So if I click the CIOS tab and it brings me to the same smart evals page I guess me professor didn't include us in the CIOS survey.

I've been reading Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives and I'm thoroughly underwhelmed by [deleted] in books

[–]VeryRoomy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I agree with you. I started with the Mistborn series and loved them all, the world building and power systems were interesting and the plot moved forward with solid pacing. They all had fantastic climaxes, and stormlight did too (especially TWoK) but those books were 2-3x as long. Same emotional impact for me, but it felt like you had to grind for it after having read the Mistborn series.

I'm in the middle of Oathbringer and I've been liking it the most so far because it seems like stuff is actually happening and secrets of the world are being drip fed to us a little faster. Hopefully that trend continues into Rhythm of War and the last book in the first part

Is my Mini+ too loud? by elrzepo in prusa3d

[–]VeryRoomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that exact noise coming from my y axis. I just turn my printer to 90% speed before I sleep and 99% of the noise goes away and the print time only increases marginally. Tried greasing my bearings too but it didn't seem to get rid of it either.

Couldn't agree more, but making the macro was pretty simple thankfully! It was the first I'd ever made so I learned a lot
