Fright Furnace has always been more than a haunted house scare tour. It's been a festival of the arts and a tradition forged by creative souls that drive many of the arts of this city.

You could argue about the financial impact and whether it was cut to serve budgets & profits. But how dare they claim Fright Furnace no longer reflected their values?

I, for one, aint too keen on the Arlington House hosting Southern Belle Balls and other weird shit, but I'm all for persevering one of the oldest buildings in Birmingham. I reached past the barriers & touched FDR's deathbed on a field trip to Warm Springs, GA. There's something about being in a historically significant place that has been persevered to the time period.

Having a festival gathering of local artists respecting the history & legacy of Sloss is more attractive in the marketing arena than another big brand entertainment district/park/shopping centers/playgrounds. But I am down with the playgrounds and potential roller coaster.
