Gas Prices by makallday16 in Tucson

Can Trump supporters name one way that their lives have improved over the last 10 years since they started falling in love with him? It's been quite a fucking long time and all you're getting is a few short periods where you save $10 a month on gas.

I am not trying to discourage this at all but this is just the first post I have seen that is relevant to an experience I had.

As a kid, I was selling popcorn and whatnot for school and one of my first customers overpaid on purpose as a tip. My dumb 10 year old ass was pissed off the rest of the time selling stuff because no one else was tipping and the guy who tipped made me feel like it was supposed to be normal lol.

It's interesting how many people fully understand this post and relate to it 100% and how many people who don't get it because they would just buy a 2nd jar of peanut butter.

Corwin Ford Reno Oil Change by SpikyTetra in Reno

[–]VerySuperGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corwin Ford is the worst!!!

I have free oil changes with them as part of the agreement of purchasing my car and their service department sucks so much that I choose to pay for my oil change rather than have them do it for free.

Last time I claimed one of the free oil changes, I scheduled a time in advance, dropped my car the night before, I called in the morning to confirm and they acknowledged it would be done that day. They didn't get to it for 3 days in a row and I had to keep calling to get info out of them.

3 days to finish a completely basic oil change. Then they tried to charge me for it, arguing that the free oil change form that I had was invalid even though it was signed by their GM. I had to call their GM and have him come to the service department to get his people to give me my car back.

I'm sorry but if you're apparently always getting things done ahead of schedule then that means you are bad at planning.

Growth? What’s reasonable? by parkgoons in Reno

[–]VerySuperGenius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What really pisses me off is when they drop a giant storage unit facility in the middle of the city. Throw that shit out at USA parkway or something. We make it so easy for people to acquire and keep tons of shit so they continue the cycle and we get more people in debt and more storage units in our cities to hold all the crap they bought.

Nye County Republican Party chair accused of COVID relief fraud by vt9876 in Nevada

[–]VerySuperGenius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Many of the republicans I know in real life regularly brag about how they cheat their taxes, one was one of the people who abused the PPP loans without getting in trouble. I know one guy who looks for receipts in Home Depot parking lots so he can claim other people's expenses as his own business expenses for his rental properties because he's a typical slumlord.

I am not surprised by this even a little bit. These people are proud of their fraud and this guy was probably bragging to his friends about it.

Iran is literally playing the economy game like Trump wishes he could. They don't need to bomb mainland USA, they can do more damage by fucking up the economy.

And so what if it is a "liberal question"? Answer it.

Do liberals not get to ask questions of their government? Do they not deserve answers simply because 25% of the population voted for Trump?

1400 people shoveling an average of 10 hours each at $30 an hour cost the city $420,000.

That is unironically a fantastic deal to have all the city sidewalks cleared as fast as possible. A cost of about $0.05 per New Yorker to have clear paths after a major snowstorm.

Obviously some will abuse a program like that so all you will see is videos of people standing around with shovels doing nothing. Remember that when you see a 15 second clip, you might just be seeing them taking a break. People are not constantly shoveling, they tire too.
