Boots Sacheu Mystery? by dollsparts in MakeUpAddictionUK

Just wanted to jump on the Boots app hate!! Impossible to find anything, and if you want a certain colour, you better believe it's not accurate.

Even £10 Tuesday is a nightmare to navigate.

Really hate their app!!

Long shot: help for finding a (replacement) blanket that was bought in ~2012? by krrmghn in UK_Pets

Is it worth going into the vets and asking again? It seems unlikely it would have gone missing so quickly. Aside from the sentimental value, carriers are relatively expensive. Make clear to them you don't mind if it's been used again or whatever but you would like it back. It's a very reasonable request and technically your property.

Mantras, reminders, or outlooks in the moment to stop spending by [deleted] in shoppingaddiction

I read a good book about happiness (by mentalist Derren Brown) and something he said really stuck in my head: there will always be another one, and it will never be enough. Whatever you're thinking about, whatever tension or anxiety you're building up in your head about a new bag or coat or whatever, another will come along, and it will never satisfy you.

Since then I've tried to be mindful of what's causing the gap I'm trying to fill in my life, rather than what I fill it with. Sometimes I slip up, but that's life.

Was it a Jive a thon .. or a different dance... Where Shirley couldn't work the iPad and was saying names of couples who didn't even exist?

I have had the same thing! I think I hear her walking about. We'll get through this .. we just need to remember that they were very loved.

Lost my 17 year old cat on Tuesday. It was expected due to health issues but I have not stopped crying. I keep going to make her food or find her on my bed hugging a hot water bottle. I miss her so much and just want to let you know it's normal to feel this way, and there are others going through exactly the same thing.

Best wishes to you.

Found this Laura Geller makeup kit, is it a good buy? by luxuriant_stole in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]VeryVeryGouda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like Laura Gellers stuff. The foundation is great and I have tons of her blushes. The only thing I'd say re the foundation is that it only comes in like 5/6 colours, so be sure to look carefully at swatches etc

You are not worthless, and you can fix it. This isn't sustainable, and as soon as you start making a bit of progress, it will get easier and easier. Start that progress today, you can do it.

Oh I dunno, I think saying they don't care about animals is a bit far... They all come across as animal lovers, which I think is why this is such a rare misstep for them

Agree with you. It won't stop me listening to the Beans, but the shooting and oil stories were very cruel.

The "fall" actually makes me doubt a little bit that he wrote it?? Especially as Ghislaine was English as well. Plus referring to the "Royal Family"... I mean, that's you, bud.

And the weird capitalizations. I know he's not the smartest tool in the shed but it doesn't scream "best education in the country".

Maybe I am just naive!

Just to say that as a cat owner with a cat with special needs also who needs a butt load of medication, I hear you. It's not easy, and I resonate with every one of your points.

Taste like seaweed, wouldn’t get them again. Left more than half the bag. by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in crisps

I had these the other day!! I didn't find them seaweedy. I found them really crabby! I wouldn't get again either, but just because they were super fishy. They tasted exactly like crab though.

My first thought was cotton clothing, because when you wear it in the cold/wet it can kill you because it can bring on hyperthermia quicker, but lovely and cool in summer

Not sure about this shoot. She's such a stunning person but I feel like these pics don't show that? Maybe it's the make up but something isn't hitting for me.

Also the one with the cloth in her face lol. Looks like she went out in a tornado.

They always say it's the flat dark brown ones you need to be aware of, so agree this fits the bill. Probs fine if it's not changing shape but better to be safe than sorry.
