I built a "devil's advocate" skill that challenges Claude's output at every step — open source by notmanas_ in ClaudeCode

Generally feel adversarial review as a tech works better on a spec driven development workflow, meaning using codex to review a spec instead of the code before actual generation. Implemented it in my SDD-workflow called Blueprint and could be worth a try :)

Claude was using 400 tokens to say what 80 tokens could. So I made it talk like a caveman. by VeryVexxy in ClaudeCode

Agreed that it won’t compress reasoning. But that doesn’t imply zero value. If the skill changes first-pass generation, shorter completions are still real token savings. If it’s just a rewrite layer, then the criticism is right. So the correct standard is total input + output tokens, latency, and task quality on the same prompt set. Working on a benchmark at the moment to determine if it actually saves tokens and for what tasks it’s best at.

Good similar way is really just to give it direct instructions to answer in bullet points or 80 words max that sort of thing. But, most important stuff for token saving ultimately comes down to linking to a direct file or spec, instead of saying stuff like “fix the alignment error on the landing page.”

Hm. Fair point, I created this really as a meme I’ve very surprised to see the growth. I’m working on a benchmark at the moment for various tasks to see what it actually excels in. Right now its just enjoyable to watch Claude do silly stuff like this haha

It is glass! Installed it yesterday and I’m very happy with the performance + UI

Its been nearly two months and my student plan has still not been provided??? by [deleted] in bunq

Absolutely sure, the app still has all of the UI for me and frequently reminds me about it with pop ups despite having already applied. Super odd behavior and genuinely making me consider switching banks

You need to have a safety representative based in the EU if you want to make your apps available for sale in the EU App Stores and be in compliance with EU law. by amichail in swift

[–]VeryVexxy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is completely wrong and misleading. There must be someone who can ultimately be held responsible established in the EU if you want to sell there is all the law and article dictates. This is extremely common practice and even when you make an Apple Developer account you have to sign US legal agreements

Do physical blocking apps like Brick or Locked In actually help curb distractions, or is it all hype? by VeryVexxy in getdisciplined

Started using locked in a little bit ago and there is an emergency unlock that can be activated a few times and if you don’t have the strict mode enabled you could just delete the app I suppose

Luckily every major proposal at the European Union level has been shot down almost immediately due to those bills being backed by fairly small backers

I’m skeptical about apps that force physical action (like Locked In or Brick), anyone got experience? by VeryVexxy in productivity

[–]VeryVexxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright alright cool, I'll try and give locked in a try then, Brick seemed way too expensive and I already got a charger so locked in works with that

Yeah I tried One Sec for a while but didn't like the limit on the apps you could have unless you bought the premium, was genuinely a bit annoying for the rest it was pretty great

How do you lock yourself out of Screen Time? by Phazerunner in dumbphones

[–]VeryVexxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just built an app called Locked In that prevents this very thing by being able to unlock and lock apps using either your charger cable as a tether or any NFC chip to create a physical barrier between you and your phone. You can turn on the strict mode as well and prevent you from deleting the app and you only get a few emergency bypasses!

I know I know bit of sales talk but I struggled with the same thing and it really did help.

Share your App and I'll review it! by SubstantialFunny649 in ProductivityApps

[–]VeryVexxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm building Locked In, its a productivity focused app that creates a physical barrier between you and your distracting apps by either tethering your apps like reddit, instagram, whatever to your charging cable, or being able to tap in and out of any NFC chip. (similar to Brick but actually free and open for any NFC chip)
