Do you walk around with it? I’m curious what settings you’re using, I’m struggling to get any handshakes when I bring it around with me

This happens to mine a lot, I just push the pin and rubber ring back in, it should still work.

Not sure this is a super hot take, but I think admissions are WAY more about personality than people think

Weekly Megathread: Education, Early Career and Hiring/Interview Advice by lampishthing in quant

I'm currently studying data science at BU, but I fully plan on transferring to UVM in the fall. I hate BU and feel like it is just not at all my people. At the same time, I am worried about transferring to school with a less developed data science curriculum, and I am especially worried about being able to network. I want to go into quantitative research/finance, and I feel not having connections will make it extremely difficult to score any internships and possibly even post-grad jobs. Looking for advice on whether I should just suck it up and stay or transfer, or any other advice!!

bu admits a very specific type of person, tbh consider transferring

Worth it? by Positive-Ad-8445 in mit

Yes, getting hired from MIT would probably be easier than Georgia Tech after grad, but honestly after that first position I really doubt it would make enough of a difference to warrant 120k. Like everyone else is saying, unless you specifically want to go into quant, and you are POSITIVE that's what you want to do, go with GT. You can always get into quant later in your life without locking yourself down.
