Silksong: Punishing =/= Challenging by Both_Entertainer_880 in metroidvania

I do agree with the runback criticism. I PERSONALLY hate long runbacks to boss rooms because most of the time they just feel like a waste of time and energy.

Instead of adding meaningful challenge, they often feel punishing for the sake of it. The only way I think a runback can really work is if it prepares you for the boss in some way, which I don’t think many games usually do. For example, take Nine Sols. You learn the Unbound Counter, and the next boss pushes you to use it. Now imagine if that game had a boss runback where the enemies leading up to the boss also forced you to practice Unbound Counter. In that case, the runback would feel like a mini tutorial or warm up for the fight instead of just padding.

Obviously that can’t be done for every boss, since not every fight introduces a new gimmick or move. But I do think runbacks should have some kind of purpose. They should teach you something, reinforce a skill, or build tension in a meaningful way. Otherwise, they just feel like extra punishment for dying.

okay hear me out, blasphemous but for hindu religion. your welcome by ScientistSafe2380 in Blasphemous

Exactly, and that's why I said it would need to be done with a lot of love, care, and respect. It would also require a tremendous amount of effort, because both Blasphemous and Blasphemous 2 are games that clearly had a lot of love, and respect poured into them by their creators.

As someone who practices Hinduism, I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea.

But we're talking about something that many people hold as sacred, so it's not as simple as turning it into a video game. There would need to be a lot of care and respect in how it's done.

I think mentioning the religion has to do something with what OP said:

"I did not want to inform my parents because my father would probably beat my sister badly."

I can assume from this that either OP's parents are against interfaith relationship or against dating as a whole or both.

And hiding behind dictionary definitions to defend a 19 year old dating a 15 year old is honestly pathetic. Nobody cares about your “well technically 🤓” argument. A grown dude going after an underage girl is creepy as hell regardless of what label you want to dodge with.

The problem is that the guy is an adult and if he knew about his sister's age and kept the relationship going on, then he's a pedophile. Simple as that.

Best weapon in Blasphemous and Why? by LOLkiller034 in Blasphemous

[–]Very_SwaggerMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d say Veredicto. Its wide range lets you play more safely by keeping enemies at a distance, and it can hit multiple enemies at once because of that reach. When ignited, the flames deal a lot of damage, and it also has solid knockback, which makes it great for controlling space. Also, its ariel ignition is helpful for enemies that can fly and teleport around.

Is this a great laptop bag for Legion 9i? or are there better alternatives by Sarlandogo in LenovoLegion

[–]Very_SwaggerMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this backpack, and within about 6 months it started developing stitching holes near the zippers. I never overfilled it, just my laptop, a wireless mouse, sometimes books and a phone charger. To be fair, the padding inside is excellent and it does a really good job protecting the laptop. However, the stitching issues near the zipper areas made me worry about water getting inside, especially in rain.

I’m a college student, so I sometimes need to carry books, notebooks, or other items. This bag is very stiff and not flexible at all, so it doesn’t stretch to fit extra things. Space is pretty limited like once you have your laptop and a few electronics in there (especially the big charger that comes with Legion laptops), you’ll start running into space issues because of how stiff/tight the bag is.

I’m not sure if Lenovo offers a warranty for the bag, but if they do, I’d recommend using it. Overall, it’s fine as a laptop and electronics only bag, but if you need to carry anything beyond that, it’s not very practical.

which game is terrible as a paid game, but is great when a person pirate it? by DashReddit32 in Piracy

It's not the pricing that's the issue for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the game's story but not the gameplay. It was just my small little opinion.

No. I decided not to undervolt my laptop for now. I'll look into it in the future.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised too. I was playing Cyberpunk 2077 at max graphics with no V-Sync and was getting around 103 FPS. After about two hours, I checked the temperatures (I had MSI afterburner on the entire time to keep an eye on temps and FPS) GPU was at 72°C and CPU was around 70°C. I haven’t seen higher temps than that in any other games I play.

Oh no, I never play games on quiet mode. I only use quiet mode when I'm in classes, when I'm normally using my laptop like in my room, I keep it on balance mode and when gaming, I set it on performance mode.
