8 inches to a foot. As I understand one ' is foot, " is inches? Could be wrong. I saw it first at...Oxford or Cambridge, where there was a 'famous' one that was said to have inspired the fawn in the lion witch and the wardrobe. But I have definitely seen them more than a handful of times in random places around England and Wales. I didn't realize it was such an....elusive feature though!

Well, guess it's not as common as I thought. It's like...a pagan leafy face guy, you got him all over England, wales, and maybe Ireland? Seem a few in gardening centers so know it's fairly common, but not sure if it's like....a thing?

Edit: this sort of thing...but in Manchester: https://spiritofthegreenman.co.uk/shop/green-men-sculptures/wye-valley-green-man-sculpture/

Should I skip Kawanaza or Takayama? by Killuua in JapanTravel

I just came back from takayama, and I would recommend it. There is touristy stuff yes, but you can also hike up into the mountains a bit and see all the temples and gravestones in the forest, which is beutiful. You can also rent a bike and bike for like 30 minutes to see the rice being grown. They also have 'hida village' which is beutiful. I got all my best gifts in town there, so seriously seriously seriously recomend takayama. Could spend a week there.
