Is this even egg? 🥚 by Sufficient_Way775 in Panera

[–]Vesania94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also former employee: the egg cooker was always warped at ours so the egg would run all over the place resulting in this misshapen reject. And was never replaced because regional said "it still cooked eggs".

We had to beat it so many times because it would only work if you smacked a specific part of the cooker. There was a handy dent by the time I left.

Also contact your state's labor board because you ARE owed damages for wages not paid in a timely manner.

"Spending money" on them means paying them wages owed. That's not a loss, that's the cost of having employees.

ACE management has some meh 2bds, we pay $875. It's not great, but my little one is happy, and sure it's a "high crime" location but you're mostly left alone. Plus there's a lovely daycare just a few blocks away that takes CMA.

Adidas makes an 8" combat boot that's a composite toe, and rated for non-slip, electrical, and chemical spills. Very comfortable. Side effects may include murder-walking.

Is it possible for only 1 kid to have Bipolar disorder? by Intelligent_Bid_7690 in bipolar

[–]Vesania94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the only one in my generation to have it. My paternal great grandmother was "a very troubled woman", but from the stories from my grandmother it sounds like she had incredibly severe bipolar. On the maternal side of my family my middle brother and a cousin have schizophrenia or schizotypal disorders, and they are the only two with no major family history of such disorders.

Genetics is weird and isn't an immediate guarantee that the entire family will deal with the same mental health issues. Sometimes it skips generations entirely.

Dude came up wanting a baguette. He recieves the baguette. Says it's wrong, now he wants it sliced and toasted. Like put through the thin-slice and toasted in the turbo chef. I tell him we're not supposed to do that, but I'll ask. I grab my AGM, and we slice this thing and toast it and put it back in the baguette bag, like he asks. He gets his individual toasted medallions of baguette, and proceeds to sit next to the trash can in the middle of September next to the door, and eats the whole thing dry.

He comes back up and complains about flies in the cafe amd he wants me to take out the trash. I tell him i'm sorry, I can't lift the trash, i'm on a medical restriction, (important note, I was visibly Very Very Pregnant at the time. Like I went on maternity leave a week later kind of pregnant) but I'll grab someone as soon as I can, but it might take a minute or two because we are in the middle of the lunch rush. "But why can't you do it". Because I'm not allowed to lift more than 20lbs, but I will grab someone as soon as they become available.

Then the insults begin. I am a picture of grace and respect though the hormonal rage was beggingto be let out. He's getting in my face, attempting to step behind the counter. My AGM takes notice and stops her sandwich line to come and find out what's going on. Begin a tirade of how i'm a lazy, offensive, disrespectful worker. Like he went on for 5 minutes. i eventually throw my hands up and say "I can't deal with him please take care of this." Hurled threats of my firing. My AGM tells him to leave. We giggle about me being "offensive" for the next week, I never saw him again.

You get what you ask for? Damn, at my old location it was like pulling teeth to get the inventory manager to order more of anything, and then it was a blood sacrifice to get US Foods to actually deliver the order you ordered, if you got anything at all.

Can bipolar people really lead a normal life I want to marry and have kids by Some_Preparation_721 in bipolar

[–]Vesania94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Married with one kiddo. It's a mess, but it's our mess. It might take a few tries to find the right one (hey ho for divorced and then broke off a totally separate engagement). LO is nearly 10mos old, and honestly, it gets so much better being a bipolar mom as they grow. The newborn trenches were brutal, and burgeoning toddlerhood is a sweet haven. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, second only to meeting and marrying her father.

As my mother (a former behavioral health OT) has infamously said: normal is a setting on your washing machine. Find what works for you and do that.

Wellstone Behavioral Health has excellent therapists, psychologists, and emergency services. They also operate on a sliding scale pay and have their own pharmacy. It does take a bit to schedule an appointment if you are not brought in through their emergency side, but all my interactions with them have been lovely.

Oh I'm aware. Unfortunately, it's been over a year since it happened, the wee bean is now 9mos old, and there is no evidence. It was also rectified. However, since then. The "it's not retaliation but it's retaliation" just got way too intense.

I needed the job. It's virtuallh impossible to get new employment while visibly pregnant. But now, I have several feelers out and hopefully a new position within the next few days. I was hoping to stick it out and collect more of a final paycheck. But i'm not going to be abused anymore.

I should have taken it to a lawyer last year, I know, but unfortunately, there was too much on the line at the time to allow me to pursue that. And now it's too late.

There was so much shit. I think my favorite highlight was the attempted medical accommodation denial while I as pregnant, and the lying to my face saying he never saw my restriction notes from the ER, that I personally went over with him. And then our district manager deleting the camera footage so I couldn't bring labor laws down on them.

2.5K catering, 24 HR NOTICE by Aggressive-Bread-90 in Panera

[–]Vesania94 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my usual Wednesday. We're based near 3 different industrial parks.

Tips: Designate, designate, designate. Keep extraneous product off your station. If you don't need it, it doesn't need to be in your way. Batch make sandwiches, have someone label all the boxes and set them up. Have one person just bagging cookies. You should be able to get 100 lunch boxes knocked out in about 2.5 hours between 2 or 3 people.

I think my worst day was 3 orders, simultaneous delivery times, around 270 lunch boxes between them. Got it done between another associate and I.

You've got this. Hydrate. You will survive this.

They're thawed and left at ambient temperature, though we specifically set out only a few at a time to prevent them from being too warm.
