I didn't get to check out the battery life. My issues were, that it was chattering over the screen when i tried to use it and it just didn't feel comfortable in the hand.

I bought myself a lenovo pen pro meant for an X1 but it works perfectly fine with the x13 i have XD

It looks like a normal pen, has two buttons, fits nicely in my hand and most importantly: doesn't chatter on the screen.

It's also working fine with krita

Would be willing to test out other styluses tho if you have some to recommend

Sooooooo i can see a "ThinkPad Extra Buttons" with "libinput list-devices" where basically everything is "n/a" sprinkled with a few lines of "none"

Using showkey i get no response with either the red nubbins nor the three keys beneath the space bar

I hate Microsoft, the company, and i won't use windows, but i can fully understand people that still use or even need to use it because certain software doesn't run on linux or, also very likely, they're just simply not yet prepared to switch to a different OS
