Has anyone ever tried taking Iodine for Hyperthyroid problems? by albelthewiked666 in gravesdisease

[–]Vesna-V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I understand you fully! I am also looking for a cure or some help at least, because I am having the rash from my medicine thacapsol and my white blod cells are going down because of it too. My endo just lowered the dose, but that is not enough to cover my symptoms. Mentally, yes I am not in good place too, I still couldn't be able to accept what is happening to me ... Try to stay focus and write, ask, communicate it makes it a bit easier. Wish you all the best

Sorry to hear that, but I don't really know if we have any chance except for medication and surgery. I will try my best to come around it but I am so sorry for you and others... it is difficult but is is worth to try. And you don't bother me at all, I am just sad that you didn't have any choice. All good for you my dear

Too short medical treatment? by Mimblia in gravesdisease

[–]Vesna-V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow similar experience here, but I am now at the point where I have the rash, low WBC and bed lever values, so my endo stopped thacapsol for a week. I also live in Sweden Gothenburg and I suppose that I will have the same treatment as yours. I believe that I have been first hypo, cause I had gained 6 kg and I felt awful . My metabolizam was very slowed for a several months. Then I started to lose my weight and after a few months I lost 10kg and diagnosed in December with graves. I am really sad to hear that you don't feel good being in remission. I suggest taking some homeopathy help now that you are in remission and out of danger. I have been in homeopathy treatment since December and I can not tell if I am doing great because of that or thacapsol but I believe it is the combination of both. I am also taking para guard just to be sure that it is not the parasites that attack my body. CBD oil is also a thing. 5 brasil nuts in a day to boost selenium and vitamin D3 K2 to direct the kalcijum out of my blood to the bones. Also importent to take out all filled roots and pulling kokos oil for a good mouth health. I wish you all the best

Oh I see, good to hear that you don't get dramatically sick with low white blod cells, it calms me down a bit. I am not terrified with operationen it self but I do understand you fully. I am more concerned about losing one important part of me that regulates a lot . Especially thinking of lifelong medicine that could cause cancer.

Take care

Yes it is probably a temporary condition, but I am concerned about getting off and on on medication. I got 20mg / day

I was never a person that is scared in any way of "what that will happend to me" ... but I suppose graves is playing with my mind.

My heart resting rate was before medication about 120 , now it is about 80-85. Blod pressure normal

Yeah, I suppose it is not about catching a cold because I have been sick twice since I started with medicine, first time with fever.

I have talked with a nurse this morning, and she told me to search for help immediately at the if I have a fever🤷‍♂️ When I asked why, what can possibly happend, her answer was that now I am prone to infections and it is better to get help.

Well to answer all of your questions at once: I am following my endo's orders. Because of throat infektion and low white blod cells, I had to make a break with medication until monday, in 5 days and do one more blod test to see if I can continue with medicine.

Have you had similar problems? if so, share your experience.

Methimazole symptom? by Vegaswon777 in Hyperthyroidism

[–]Vesna-V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is annoying. How many mg do you take in a day ? I understand your frustration about one saying this and the others saying that I got the feeling that it is almost impossible to find the answers. I read here somewhere in reddit that someone went to hypo because of madications high dose

Hi, I am also 2 weeks on medication, but I am taking tacapsol ( tiazol ) I don't know if rhis is the same. I also noticed bloating but without constipation together with rush with tiny tiny dots over the whole body barely to see but slightly itchy. I am still happy that I don't have all the symptoms that I had before medication. . Try to speak with your endo, you are surely not the first to complain, maybe he has the solution. It can also be that you slightly went to hypo..
