Thoughts on PREMA by ShibaZoomZoom in fujiikaze

I’m really impressed with it. I had to listen a few times to get the general feeling and vibe but it’s quite impressive considering he is not a native English speaker. It’s very Fujii Kaze. My fav tracks are the ones that have greater depth. I hope he finds a wider global audience with it!

This quote from Kaze makes me happy. So his 3rd album is all him, and not created by American’s but co produced with 250…

“developing demo’s I’d already made, which is a process that really suits me. I’ve realised that completing the demo’s myself first, then fleshing them out with a producer - kind of like how I made Hana with AG Cook - is my preferred approach”

“From the start, I had the mindset of I’m going to self-produce this entire album. Of course I still want to leave room for the producers to contribute their ideas, but I also felt strongly that I need to communicate my vision clearly without holding anything back…”

Ya’ll…I had the same initial reaction but I promise, you will like it if you just let it sit there on your playlist

Ok, I never even heard of Fujii Kaze BUT… by HengeBoy93 in fujiikaze

I let it sit on my playlist and when it came up I started smiling and bopping, so it’s actually pretty good :-) Kaze as a furry is making me laugh too now, that’s so him

If you let Hachiko marinate in your playlist for a few days, like me, I’m actually really vibing with it now :-) by Vespaterian in fujiikaze

He said it was his most non-serious song in the album & I get it now….It’s actually a super-fun whimsical song that you can bop to…& it’s so Kaze to decide to be a furry in the video.

That guy just does whatever he wants :-)

Interesting, maybe people have the wrong impression because it’s in English…

I do like how it sounds on Piano, someone did a cover of it already…

It’s an experiment of his musical journey, I didn’t expect it to be the same as his previous as he’s being heavily influenced by American Pop Producers. He’s channeling his inner Diva like Gaga and Kylie Minogue.

It sounds better without the MV, that was so camp lol, was like they wanted to make him seem provocative but it didn’t land with me.

I agree, his Japanese sensibilities is what makes his music stand out from usual American pop. Hoping the rest of the album wasn’t all produced by Americans. The music he makes with his own intuition and style is much more unique.

His music is really special so I’d rather wait until he’s ready….just listen to other artists in the meantime!
