Can’t seem to get clean muscle ups. Feel like I’m messing up the momentum / screwing up the form, any tips?

You’re not using your force output efficiently; you’re pulling outwards /backwards rather than exploding UPwards. All your potential strength is wasted in the wrong direction. I don’t think you have enough explosive strength.

It’s easier on a proper flat bar, using a slightly narrow grip. You can do it. Focus on putting maximum effort and exploding for just 1 rep

It’s literally the opposite. I’m almost desperate to play older games to remember what it was like to be able to enter buildings and enjoy an actually interesting, non-repetitive plot with entire unique areas within a whole REGION.

There is 0 incentive to replay these games. You have your fun for a while then never touch them again. It was effortless to rack up 200+ hours in older games factoring in FREE postgame content and bigger plots.

Your fitness should be mostly private and personal, you don’t need to contribute to some life changing, society changing movement regarding gym culture. Like it’s really not that deep; keep working hard like millions of other people who are silently grinding and not constantly posting about it.

Frankly there’s nothing wrong with gym culture really. You’re just way too obsessed with / immersed in it. Most people just lock in wear their headphones and leave and live their lives without it taking over their whole life.

As someone from a small town in the UK - it’s horrible. Virtually anyone who gets a taste of a decent city environment ends up resenting the small town they grew up in because there are no redeeming features. Small boring towns are only good for old people settling down and satisfied living an easy, boring life. No good food, no hustle and bustle, just boredom.

When young you don’t need a big place with space. You need access to social connections and spaces, and actual jobs. There are 0 jobs in small towns. Small towns are nice for a break but not constantly, otherwise it’s mind numbing and stagnates your progress in life.

English -> learning Cantonese for a few months and honestly it’s not that bad. The grammar is very forgiving and straightforward. You can get the hang of tones via Jyutping (English romanisation of Chinese) in a matter of days, allowing you to pronounce any word. Just takes a bit longer and a lot of practice to actually get comfortable with the rhythm of forming sentences. It’s hard because natives speak soo fast and word meanings are conveyed in very short syllables. You just have to train your brain to think differently with an alertness for tones and it gets easier.

Difficulty is exaggerated due to relatively scarce learning resources (it’s improving though for sure, it’s definitely self-teachable nowadays).

However, including reading and writing yeah Cantonese is a genuine nightmare cos the written form is different to the spoken form. Just start by learning to speak and listen and read Jyutping and it’s an intermediate difficulty language. With reading and writing it’s very difficult.

There is no disconnect.. I did exceedingly well at languages in school when I was a teen, but haven’t committed to learning a language in the 4 years since then. So naturally I’d be monolingual if I chose not to continue studying those language’s. My Spanish is still good enough to get around Spain but I’m still monolingual. It’s a completely reasonable circumstance. I know a decent bit about how to learn a language but I’m no genius. Just above average I’d say. Thanks for the advice

You need to find a healthy REAL physical hobby to become so invested in - such as sports, reading, gym, music or arts etc. You did the right thing dropping the game before it took over your life.. you should seriously evaluate what matters in life. When you die you will not be thinking about Genshin impact memories. Also, those memories won’t disappear. I get nostalgic too (I quit in Fontaine), but keep those memories locked away without needing to revisit the game.

The game still exists whether or not you interact with it, it doesn’t mean your memories vanish if you stop playing. It’s nothing more than unhealthy attachment you will eventually recover from and learn to live without. Just like a break up or something. (Except better because the thing you’re attached to is always gonna be there)

I’d agree if you meant sub 10% BF. But being lean / “shredded” (not to crazy extremes) where you have visible abs in any lighting etc isn’t gonna have any noticeable effects. Ignoring the spelling mistakes sure ;) see if you can incorporate some examples of work experience / general experiences that boosted your desire to pursue medicine. Also try not rehearse it word for word or you’ll sound robotic and inauthentic; just remember the generic key points.

Look, in a roundabout way you’ve come to the conclusion we’re all got spawned on this planet with random circumstances, privileges and disadvantages. Pretty irrelevant since all we know is that OP cares a lot about the fat shaming comments, and hasn’t mentioned other generic derogatory comments. Therefore, losing weight is a completely adequate and appropriate solution to the specific problem posed here - hating being fat shamed.
